The excitement of wedding preparations filled the air as Hades and Andre embarked on the journey to plan their special day. They wanted their wedding to be a perfect blend of their personalities and their love story, with elements that reflected the beauty and mystique of the Underworld.
The first task on their list was to choose a location. They decided on a secluded meadow in the Elysian Fields, a serene and ethereal place where the souls of heroes and virtuous mortals found their eternal rest. The meadow was surrounded by ancient, towering trees with leaves that shimmered like gold in the soft light. A crystal-clear stream meandered through the field, adding to the tranquility of the setting.
Hades and Andre wanted their wedding to be a celebration of nature, filled with lush greenery and vibrant flowers. They chose a color palette of deep purples, midnight blues, and silver, which would complement the natural beauty of the meadow and evoke the essence of the Underworld.
Demeter gives them a list of the five flowers they can use for the wedding.
"Black roses will symbolize eternal love and the depth of your connection. Night-blooming jasmines represent the enchantment of your bond and the magic of the night. Silver-leafed ferns will add a touch of elegance and mystique. Lavender will add a soothing fragrance and that touch of purple. Moonflowers will symbolize your love that shines in the darkest of nights."
With the flowers chosen, they moved on to the decorations. They envisioned a wedding arch made of intertwining branches of the ancient trees, adorned with the selected flowers and draped with sheer, silver fabrics that fluttered in the breeze. Fairy lights would be strung along the branches, casting a soft, enchanting glow over the ceremony.
Artemis and Apollo took charge of the decorations, using their skills to create an enchanting environment.
"The aisle should be lined with lanterns and petals of black roses and lavender, creating a magical path leading to the arch. The seating will have the most elegant of chairs draped with midnight blue silk, each adorned with a single night-blooming jasmine from Demeter. The reception area will have tables covered in silver linens, with centerpieces of moonflowers and silver-leafed ferns. The stream would be illuminated with floating lanterns, creating a mesmerizing effect as dusk fell. As for music, we will have a harpist and a string quartet that will provide a backdrop of ethereal music, setting a romantic and serene atmosphere." Artemis suggested.
As they planned, Apollo approached Andre with a heartfelt request. "Andre," he began, his voice soft and sincere, "would you allow me the honor of walking you down the aisle?"
Andre's eyes filled with emotion as he responded, "Of course, Apollo. It would mean the world to me. I also want you to be my best man."
The two embraced, a moment of profound connection and love. Apollo had been a pillar of support for Andre, and this gesture solidified their bond.
Hades and Andre continued their preparations, discussing every detail to ensure their day was perfect. Next order of business is the menu. They knew exactly who to ask to help with that too. They would ask Hestia, the goddess of hearth and home. Known for her skills in the culinary arts and her dedication to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Hestia took on the responsibility of crafting a menu that would reflect the tastes and preferences of both Hades and Andre.
"For appetizers, we will have stuffed grape leaves, ambrosia salad, and various cheeses. The main course, we will have both of your favorite meals. For Andre, we will have fettuccine alfredo, creamy and rich, served with freshly grated Parmesan and a hint of garlic. For Hades, we will have grilled fish, seasoned with herbs and accompanied by a lemon-butter sauce. Finally, for desserts, will we have honey cakes, pomegranate tarts, and a towering wedding cake adorned with edible flowers."
