In the underworld, Hades sat on the edge of his bed, lost in thought. The dim, flickering candlelight cast shadows across his face as he stared at the stone floor, contemplating the best way to rescue Andre. His mind kept drifting back to the young man's gentle eyes and the pain he had endured. Hades' heart ached with a powerful, protective love for Andre, a love that compelled him to do whatever it took to keep him safe from Zeus.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. Hades straightened up, his heart quickening. "Come in," he called, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him.
The door creaked open, revealing Thanatos. He stepped into the room with an air of quiet authority. Thanatos had long, flowing black hair that cascaded down his back like a river of shadows. His eyes were a deep, penetrating black, and his chiseled features held an ethereal, almost otherworldly beauty. He wore a dark, flowing robe that seemed to blend into the darkness around him, making him look like a wraith moving silently through the night.
"Thanatos," Hades greeted him, nodding slightly. "What brings you here?"
Thanatos closed the door behind him and walked towards Hades. "I heard you were troubled," he said, his voice soft yet powerful. "And I know it's about the mortal, Andre."
Hades sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I can't get him out of my mind," he admitted. "I need to save him from Zeus. He doesn't deserve the torment he's been put through."
Thanatos nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Andre has suffered much," he agreed. "But saving him from Zeus will not be easy. We must plan carefully to avoid arousing his suspicion."
Hades looked up at Thanatos, his eyes filled with determination. "I will do whatever it takes," he said firmly. "Andre means everything to me. I can't let Zeus hurt him any longer."
Thanatos placed a reassuring hand on Hades' shoulder. "I will help you," he promised. "Together, we will find a way to bring Andre to safety. Zeus' tyranny cannot go unchecked forever."
Hades nodded, feeling a renewed sense of hope. With Thanatos by his side, he felt stronger and more determined than ever. They would rescue Andre from the clutches of Zeus, no matter the cost.
Hades noticed a flicker of unease in Thanatos' usually calm demeanor. "Thanatos, what's troubling you?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. "Come, sit down next to me and let's talk about it."
Thanatos hesitated for a moment before nodding and taking a seat beside Hades on the bed. He stared at the floor, his long black hair falling over his shoulders like a curtain of shadows. "It's Artemis," he finally admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I miss her, Hades. More than I can put into words."
Hades placed a comforting hand on Thanatos' shoulder. "I understand," he said softly. "Love can be a powerful force, and being apart from the one you care about can be unbearable."
Thanatos sighed deeply, his eyes reflecting the torment he felt inside. "She's my light in the darkness," he confessed. "When I'm with her, I feel alive in a way that I can't explain. But being away from her... it's like a piece of me is missing."
Hades nodded, understanding the pain of being separated from someone you love. "Artemis is a strong and compassionate goddess," he said. "She feels the same way about you, I'm sure. But the situation with Zeus makes it difficult for all of us."
Thanatos looked up at Hades, his eyes filled with longing. "I just want to see her again, to hold her in my arms," he said, his voice breaking slightly. "Is that too much to ask?"
Hades shook his head. "No, it's not too much to ask," he assured him. "We'll find a way to reunite you with Artemis. But first, we need to focus on saving Andre. Once he's safe, we can work on finding a way for you to be with Artemis again."
