After Em and Apollo introduced themselves to each other at Hades and Andre's wedding, they found a quiet table in the corner of the grand hall. The buzz of celebration surrounded them, but at their table, a new connection was beginning to form.

Em smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity. "So, Apollo, what are some of your likes and dislikes?"

Apollo leaned back, thinking for a moment. "Well, I love music, especially playing the lyre. It's been a passion of mine for centuries. I dislike dishonesty and people who aren't genuine. What about you?"

"I enjoy painting and sketching," Em replied, a spark of enthusiasm in their eyes. "It's my way of expressing myself. And I dislike closed-mindedness. I think people should be more open to different perspectives."

Apollo nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. Speaking of perspectives, what are your dreams, Em?"

Em took a sip of their drink, pondering. "I dream of a world where everyone can be themselves without fear. Personally, I want to travel and see all the beautiful places I've read about. What about you?"

Apollo's eyes lit up. "I dream of spreading more joy and music across the realms. Music has a way of healing and uniting people, and I want to be a part of that."

Their conversation flowed naturally, moving on to their favorite things. Em's favorite color was a vibrant shade of turquoise, reminiscent of the ocean on a sunny day. Apollo loved the calming hue of light blue, like the sky at dawn. Em adored autumn for its crisp air, the way the leaves transformed into a tapestry of reds and golds, and the cozy feeling of wrapping up in a warm scarf. Apollo, on the other hand, was partial to spring. He loved the sense of renewal it brought, with flowers blooming, birds singing, and the world awakening from its winter slumber.

"I'm a huge fan of horror movies," Em confessed, grinning. "Especially the classics like 'Scream' and 'Halloween'. How about you?"

Apollo chuckled. "I prefer dramas and historical films, but I do appreciate a good horror movie now and then. It's a different kind of thrill."

When it came to music, Em loved indie rock, citing bands like Arctic Monkeys and Florence + The Machine as favorites. "There's something about the raw emotion and storytelling in their songs that really speaks to me."

Apollo, unsurprisingly, favored classical music but also enjoyed modern pop and rock for its energy and creativity. "I love the complexity and beauty of classical pieces, but modern music has this vibrancy and immediacy that's also very compelling."

"I've always been fascinated by foxes," Em said. "They're so clever and beautiful. I even have a few sketches of them."

Apollo smiled. "I'm fond of swans. They're graceful and have this serene presence. I often watch them by the lake near my home when I'm seeking inspiration for my compositions."

Their discussion turned to food and drink. Em's favorite food was Italian cuisine, especially a well-made lasagna. "There's just something so comforting about layers of pasta, cheese, and rich sauce."

Apollo enjoyed Mediterranean dishes, particularly fresh seafood. "Grilled octopus with lemon and herbs is one of my favorites. It reminds me of the sun and sea."

"For drinks," Em said, "I can't resist a good chai latte. The spices are so warming and fragrant."

Apollo nodded. "I'm more of a coffee person myself. A strong, black coffee to start the day, but I also enjoy a glass of red wine in the evening. There's something about it that's both relaxing and invigorating."

Finally, they shared their hobbies. Em loved spending weekends at art galleries and bookstores, soaking in the creativity and stories. "I could spend hours just wandering through galleries, getting lost in the colors and textures of the paintings. And bookstores are like treasure troves of ideas and adventures."

Apollo enjoyed writing poetry and composing new melodies, often finding inspiration in nature. "There's a quiet, profound beauty in nature that fuels my creativity. I often take long walks in the woods or by the sea to clear my mind and let new ideas come to me."

At a natural lull in their conversation, Apollo asked, "How long have you known Hades?"

Em's expression softened. "My brother Allen and I have known Hades for a very long time. In fact, Hades saved us from a burning building when we were young. He took us to the Underworld and gave us the job of watching over the souls."

Apollo's eyes widened. "That's incredible. It must have been quite an experience."

"It was," Em said, nodding. "Hades gave us a purpose and a place to belong. We owe him a lot."

As the night went on, they realized just how much they had in common and how their differences complemented each other. The wedding celebration continued around them, but at their table, a new friendship was blossoming, filled with shared dreams, favorite things, and the promise of future conversations. They exchanged smiles, knowing that this was just the beginning of something special.
