" ARE you feeling kinda weird about this? i mean, it's not so bad here, you know," jay says walking up behind mal at her locker.
mal turns, the love spell cookies in hand, "are you insane?" she asks, "long live evil! we already have carlos, now you too? you're mean! you're awful! you're bad news! snap out of it!" she snaps her fingers together.
jay sighs, "thanks, mal. i needed that."
mal pats his shoulder laughing.
"hey carlos!" raina says seeing him walking towards her out of her peripheral vision.
he smiles and stops at her locker, "uh, hey raina. are you, uh, going to the tourney game tonight?" he asks nervously.
she nods, "yeah wouldn't miss it," she says smiling up. she clears her throat, "i mean cause, like, you're my friend and i wanna support you," she corrects.
carlos' smile drops, "oh yeah. duh. alright, then wanna hang out after? i can bring dude," he says hopeful.
"MAAL! MAL!" ben sings from his locker. mal puts her hand over his mouth. raina looks over in confusion and laughs awkwardly
she nods, "oh, yeah, for sure, sorry. but good luck tonight, carlos," she says looking up at him.
he nods, "thanks rain. see ya later," he says
she smiles at the now frequent use of this new nickname as she closes her locker door and walks back into the castle.

" JAY! you're up," coach says.
jay looks between him and carlos next to him, "coach. what about my buddy here?" he asks.
carlos shakes his head swiftly, looking back into the crowd in attempt to try and find raina. he scans through the crowd but somehow can't find the four-eleven blonde.
"i'm not so sure about that," coach responds.
jay sighs, "come on coach, he's been practicing. and his girl is here tonight to watch him and this would really make her proud."
"jay!" carlos states, resisting a smile.
"please man. plus you said yourself as team is made up of a bunch of parts. well, he's kind of like my brain," jay says, not pausing his speech.
