CASSIE SAT AT THE SMALL marbled island in her old childhood home, back at her fathers house in boston. her niece, florence, sat on the chair beside her, looking through something on her phone.

her sister in law, hallie, came through, plating a kiss on her daughters forehead, rummaging for something in the fridge as she spoke to cassie.

"so, the divorce is final, when?" hallie asked, "3 more months until i'm free." cassie laughed, hallie turned to give the girl a sympathetic look. "where's dahlia?" hallie spoke, plating up florence's lunch.

"with matthew." cassie sighed, "only for this week though." hallie shook her head at the girl, "no idea how you can trust her with him, after all he's done to you cass." hallie spoke, cassie lightly furrowed her brows at her, "well, as much as he hated me, he loves his kid. that's the one thing i have trust in him about," cassie told her.

daniel came through to the kitchen, scrolling on his phone, giving his wife a peck on her cheek as he leant over the kitchen table, "cass, you free this week?" he spoke, eyes glued to his  phone.

cassie shrugged, playing with the end of her nieces ponytail, "no, why?" the girl asked, "well, dad got tickets to that challenger that's on, it was supposed to be me, him, and some guy that he golfs with but he can't come anymore, do you want to?" daniel asked, his eyes finally averting form his phone.

"yeah, sure." the girl smiled at her brother, cassie still had a passion for tennis, she also had a better passion for coaching, she was fucking good at it now.

daniel nodded, walking around to give his daughter a kiss on her for head before he disappeared back upstairs.

cassie was now 31. cassie was very successful, women and men she had trained had gone off to win grand slams, one even winning wimbledon. cassie even had a beautiful daughter now. a four year old girl with beautiful blonde hair, the type that showed no sign of turning brunette, which was funny, as her and her husband were both brown haired. the girl had light freckles trailing over her nose and big brown eyes.

cassie had also changed over the years, her hair had blonde highlights throughout it, giving it a lighter shade. it was shorter now, going just past her shoulders. she had upgraded from a little black digital watch to a cartier watch. and ironically, cassie smoked now, she didn't know why, she didn't know how she started, it was just something she did now. and she knew, her 18 year old self would go ballistic at her for it.

she now lived in boston, she thought it was better as she was nearer family, and she hoped to bring up dahlia where she had grown up, even though she wished she was living in lake como in italy, with her husband. but not her current husband, she hated it, but she always had someone else in the back of her mind.

and now, she was getting a divorce from the famous tennis player, matthew warren. cassie and matthew had met when one of her former players she coached had asked cassie to help matthew, cassie being the person she is agreed.

matthew was good, that's one thing she liked about him. he was good. he knew what he was doing and took in all the advice cassie gave him. matthew had proposed to cassie not long after they had found out she was pregnant, which wasn't long after they started seeing eachother. neither of them wanted to get married, they always felt as though that's why their marriage had gone to shit.

matthew was a tall, muscular man, with dark brown, almost black hair, that sat straight over the top of his head. matthew and cassie were always fighting, if cassie had asked him to skip training so he could spend time with his family, he would scream the whole neighbourhood down, calling cassie ludicrous names, calling her selfish. childish stuff like that.

the one thing that set cassie off for divorce was his affair, cassie had found out he was having an affair with someone 5 years younger than her, thankfully, it was legal, but cassie still thought it was fucking odd.
