Seoul, 2004

You were five years old, living in the bustling city of Seoul. The sights and sounds of the city were a constant backdrop to your early childhood memories.

Bright neon lights, crowded streets, and the comforting hum of the city were all parts of your world. But above all, the most vivid memory was your father, Agent Kang.

To you, he was more than just a father, he was a hero. You'd often hear stories of his bravery and skill, of how he caught dangerous criminals and kept the city safe.

At such a young age, you didn't fully grasp the gravity of his work, but you knew he was someone important, someone admirable.

One night, everything changed.

Your father came home late, as he often did. The sound of the front door creaking open echoed through the small apartment. You were sitting on the floor of the living room, playing with your toys.

When you saw him, you immediately noticed something was wrong. His clothes were soaked in blood. His face was pale, eyes wide with something between fear and exhaustion.

"Daddy?" you said, standing up and reaching your small hands towards him, hoping for one of his warm hugs.

But before you could take a step closer, your mother rushed in. She looked at your father, her face a mixture of relief and panic.

"Kang, what happened?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Your father shook his head, unable to form words. He glanced at you, his eyes softening for a moment.

"Y/N," he said gently, but there was an edge to his voice that you didn't understand. "Go with your mother."

Your mother hurried over, lifting you into her arms. "Come on, sweetheart. Let's go to your room."

"But I want to stay with Daddy," you protested, your eyes still fixed on your father.

Your mother gave you a strained smile. "Daddy needs to rest. He had a tough day at work. We'll see him in the morning, okay?"

You nodded, but your eyes remained on your father as your mother carried you away.

You watched him until he disappeared from sight as your mother took you to your room. She tucked you into bed, her hands shaking slightly.

"Mommy, is Daddy okay?" you asked, your small voice breaking the heavy silence.

Your mother forced a smile, brushing a strand of hair from your forehead. "He's fine, darling. Just tired. Go to sleep now."

She kissed your forehead and left the room, closing the door behind her.

You lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, the image of your father's blood-stained clothes imprinted in your mind.

You didn't understand what had happened, but a cold feeling settled in your stomach, a sense of unease that you couldn't shake.

Your mother rushed back to him, her voice hushed but urgent.

You could hear the muffled sound of their conversation through the thin walls of your room. Curiosity and worry kept you awake, straining to catch every word.

"Kang, what happened?" your mother repeated, her voice tight with concern.

Your father took a deep breath, his voice a low murmur. "I killed him. This bastard we've been searching for... he's dead."

Your mother gasped softly. "You... you killed him?"

"He was too dangerous," your father continued. "He knew about us. About Y/N. Our lives were at risk as long as he was alive. I had no choice."
