"O Holy Night" by Mariah Carey played softly as my kids and I gleefully decorated the large Christmas tree. As I watched the two sets of twins place ornaments on the tree, I stepped back and watched them silently with a huge smile on my face. I cherish moments like these because my little babies won't be babies forever.

I looked outside my window to see the falling snow covering the ground, and a feeling of nostalgia crept upon me. I could see little kids playing joyfully, screaming and laughing with wide smiles on their cute faces. A huge pair of manly arms wrapped around my waist, and the alluring scented cologne let me know who it was. As I turned around, Dave looked at me with such a loving look, and we both engaged in a deep kiss.

Dave has really changed; he is a remarkable man. Building our once shattered relationship wasn't easy. I had my days where I doubted he would treat me right, but Dave proved me wrong in so many ways. His baby mama abandoned him and his kids shortly after giving birth. Although Saniya and Adam aren't biologically mine, they are still my babies, and I will forever love and cherish them.

"DADDY!" The two cheerful kids screamed as they saw their father.

The two ran and hugged their father, long legs, and I swear my emotional self could've cried at the cute gesture. Then, they ran back to the tree to finish their task.

"You know I love you, right?" Dave asked, his deep voice snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes, and I will always love you, baby," I said, kissing his thick, smooth lips.

Dave always made sure I felt loved; he would ask me all the time, and to be honest, I didn't mind.

"You make me wanna take your fine ass up there and love on you," he whispered huskily in my ear.

"Stop," I said, giggling, "the kids are right there."

"They ain't paying us no mind, baby; stop being shy," he said jokingly.

I hit him softly on his chest, then I proceeded to help the kids on the tree.

As the day turned to night, we all found ourselves snuggled up watching different Christmas movies. As I looked at my babies, a surging wave of happiness filled me, and I'm glad things worked out for the better because I knew I would always be his baby.
