The TV hummed softly in the background while an exhausted Robin lay back, trying to seek comfort while rubbing his swollen stomach. Robin couldn't believe he could get pregnant; he was angry with himself for allowing himself to be put in such a position. He found himself cocooned inside his apartment, where he was on maternity leave, awaiting his pride and joy, who would be here any day now. Robin hated how easily his mood shifted; he could be watching a scene from a movie, and the next thing he knew, his eyes were red and puffy from crying.

To say that his relationship with his former lover was toxic would be the understatement of the year. Not only was Zavyion on the down low, but he was also a serial cheater; the taller man would stick his length aside anything walking while expecting Robin to remain tied down and loyal only to him. When Robin told Zavyion he was pregnant, he could remember the taller man telling him that he was trying to trap him and ruin his life. Zavyion had told Robin to stay away from him and had even gone as far as threatening him.

Although his relationship with Zavyion was over, he developed a new relationship with his brother's friend, Jeremy. Jeremy had gotten into a huge brawl with his former best friend for hurting Robin; he knew Zavyion was no good for the innocent man. Although Jeremy identified as straight, he found himself attracted to Robin—yes, the shorter man was a sight to behold, but good looks mean nothing if one's personality is trash.

The sound of keys rattling against the door made Robin turn his head to see Jeremy coming inside with bags full of what he presumed was food.

"Wassup, lil bit? How are you feeling?" the taller man asked as he made his way to the pregnant man.

"Exhausted, but I feel good for the most part. I'm ready for my lil baby to come on up outta me, though," Robin said, leaning into Jeremy's touch once his large hands started rubbing his belly.

Robin couldn't help but stare at Jeremy; to him, the taller man was so fine—with his healthy locs, perfectly sculpted face, and juicy lips—who wouldn't stare?

"What?" Jeremy asked, chuckling.

"I'm sorry, boo, but you're so fine; God took his time on you," Robin said in a flirtatious undertone.

Hearing that made Jeremy's heart swell with joy. He was happy that the smaller man had given him a chance, and he would make it his life mission to make the shorter man happy.

"Thank you, lil bit! I brought you some groceries and stuff; I'm going to make you some dinner. You just sit there and look pretty, okay?" Jeremy said, giving a loving kiss on the smaller plump lips.

If Robin were any shade lighter, he would have seen the blush creeping onto his face. It's the small things that make Robin appreciate Jeremy for being there for him.

As time went by, the two laughed and enjoyed each other's company. Robin could feel in his chest that the taller man made him happy, and he could see them being together for a long time.
