The morning of Daena's 18th nameday, Daemon and the children wake her with breakfast and a few smaller gifts.
"Good morning lady mother", the twins say as one.
"Good morning, my love", Daemon says.
"Good morning, my three loves", Daena says with a smile.
"We have guests coming today", Daemon says. "The king's master of coin and his lady wife and baby son are coming, the king, queen and the little princess, my niece are coming."
"How old is little princess Rhaenyra now?" Daena asks.
"She is 10 now, and a dragon rider", Daemon says with a smile. "Her dragon is Syrax, a she dragon, she claimed her three years ago."
"Wonderful", Daena says.
"When she was 5, she was convinced that she would be betrothed to me, but her father the king didn't think it was suitable to marry her to me", Daemon says.
"So the king didn't find your family's tradition to be suitable, when it came to you and your niece", Daena says.
"He thought that I would corrupt her", Daemon says.
"Little did he know, you corrupted me instead", Daena says with a smirk.
"You weren't very resistant to my corruption attempts, m'lady", Daemon says.
"Because I was curious about you, m'lord", Daena says.
"I was curious about you as well", Daemon says.
"And I was curious about your dragon as well, scared of him but also curious about him, and you", Daena says.
"Were you scared of me as well or just Caraxes? If I recall correctly, you were hiding in the Gods Wood, so who or what were you really frightened of?" Daemon asks.
"I was hiding in the Gods Wood, yes, because I didn't wish to marry someone chosen for me", Daena says.
"I take it you more than accepted it when you had me by the waterfall", Daemon says with a smile.
"Well, you are a wonderful lover, Daemon", Daena says with a smile, nuzzling his neck.
"I try to be, for you to have good experiences when you bed me", Daemon says sweetly, humming with pleasure as Daena nuzzles him. "By the way, I think I have figured out what to give you for your 18th nameday."
"Oh? What are you getting me?" Daena asks.
"Me, on another set of cliffs that I haven't shown you yet", Daemon says. "We'll take Caraxes and fly there."
"Oh, so we will both be flying on him?" Daena asks.
"Yes, we'll both fly on him", Daemon says.
"And the twins?" Daena asks.
"The twin will have to stay in the castle this time, it won't be suitable to have them around, for what I have planned for us", Daemon says with a little smile.
"You're planning to give them a sibling", Daena says.
"If possible, yes, at least I'm going to try", Daemon says.
"Daemon, promise to be gentle with me", Daena says.
"Of course I will be gentle with you, my love", Daemon says gently.

A few months later, Daena tells Daemon that she is again with child, a child expected to be born by the year's end. By the year's end, Daena births another son for her dragon prince, a beautiful silver haired boy with striking blue eyes.

They decide to name the boy Jaime Targaryen, they ask the maester to have ravens sent off to the realm of the birth of the new prince. Two weeks later, they are told of the birth of the king's second child, a little prince along with the unfortunate death of the queen.

Daemon decides that the family will go to King's Landing to be there for the king in his sorrow. The children and servants travels to the capital by litter while the lord and lady of Dragonstone travel there by dragon's back.

Jaehaerys quarrels with his lord father that he and his sister should be allowed to fly on their dragons. Daemon shuts down that idea by reminding his heir that young dragons are still too small to handle such a journey but that they of course will come along, just like the incubating egg for little prince Jaime.
"Your and your sister's dragon will join us, but they will have to travel by crate, they are still too young to handle the journey, come now, no sulking, you and I are princes of the realm, I was once your uncle's successor to the throne, but then your cousin was born", Daemon says.
"Will Jaehera's dragon come along to?" Jaehaerys asks.
"Of course, both yours and your sister's dragons are coming along", Daemon says. "And if you want, you and your sister can fly with your mother and me in to the capital, we will be flying overhead of the wheelhouse that you two will travel in with your brother and the servants, someone has to guard the dragon egg we are traveling with, it's very valuable."
"How can we fly with you in to the capital?" Jaehaerys asks.
"We will of course swoop down when we are nearing King's Landing and pick you up, lock you in to the saddles of our dragons and then take to the skies once you are secured in the saddles", Daemon says. "And no practicing dracarys inside the wheelhouse, I know your dragons are still but babes, but they will burn the wheelhouse down just as easily as a full grown dragon will."

Jaehaerys agrees reluctantly to his father's idea and they get ready to leave. Daemon and Daena take flight on their dragons when they've made sure that the children, dragon eggs and the young drakes are safely inside one of the wheelhouses.
"He surely is your son", Daena says sweetly, kissing Daemon on the lips before mounting her dragon. "Sōvēs, Winter."
"Let's chase our girls, old boy, sōvēs, Caraxes", Daemon says and the lean red beast under him takes to the sky chasing after his mate.

When the dragons are far enough apart, Daemon and Daena give their dragons a command.
"Caraxes, drakarys", Daemon says and his mount spews fire.
"Winter, drakarys", Daena says and her mount lets out a gust of fire.
