Jin'an began training with the other youths in the military camp. Compared to the adult soldiers, their tasks were much lighter, consisting mainly of simple physical training each day and helping the soldiers with miscellaneous tasks.

Having finished the training arranged by the sergeant early, Jin'an sat on the side lost in his thoughts, and gazed in the direction of Li Shuang's tent. With a distracted mind, he remembered that he had something to do today – he needed to steal some clothes for his adult self at night.

Just as he was bored and idle, he suddenly sensed a presence behind him. His eyes sharpened, and at the right moment, he elbowed backward, delivering a strike to the chest of the person attempting to grab him from behind. There was a painful cry as the person fell heavily to the ground behind him.

As Jin'an turned around, he saw a somewhat familiar face.

It was none other than Li Ting.

Li Ting was always restless. Yesterday, after being bored to death from listening to Li Shuang and the soldiers discussing in the meeting, he refused to go again today. He slipped away from his attendants and wandered around the camp with his hands behind his back. He happened to walk to this corner of the camp. He saw all the other young soldiers running while only Jin'an sat in the corner, lost in thought.

He thought of sparring with Jin'an again, so he approached to make a surprise attack. But this time, he got hurt again, although not severely, he couldn't help but feel impressed.

"You kid, do you have eyes on the back of your head?" Li Ting rubbed his chest for a while, trying to sit up, but found it too painful to do so. "Help me up."

Facing Li Ting's request, Jin'an just coldly looked at him, neither responding nor moving.

Li Ting's hand hung awkwardly in the air for a while before he gritted his teeth and got up on his own. He didn't leave, though. He lingered around Jin'an for a while, then asked somewhat hesitantly, "You're quite skilled. Who's your master? Can you ask him to teach me too?"

"Don't know," Jin'an replied coldly, continuing to sit and gaze at Li Shuang's tent.

Li Ting sat down beside Jin'an. "Well then, how about you teach me?"

Jin'an ignored him.

After observing him for a while, Li Ting followed his gaze forward, noticing it was towards Li Shuang's tent. His eyes lit up, and he said, "I grew up with my sister since childhood. I know everything about her."

Jin'an's gaze shifted suddenly.

"If you teach me martial arts, I might chat with you about my sister. Like what she likes to eat, what she enjoys, and so on."

Jin'an finally stared at Li Ting suspiciously..

Li Ting blinked at Jin'an, his smile charming.

Jin'an agreed.

It was more than ten days later when Li Shuang found out that Li Ting had been training with Jin'an. Li Shuang was at a loss for words.

The old master at home had hired the best martial arts teacher in the Great Jin Dynasty for Li Ting. He had studied halfway in the capital and then came to the northern border, unexpectedly learning skills from a kid. If the teacher at home found out, he would probably be too embarrassed to show his face in their general's mansion.

So Li Ting had wisely kept it from everyone before. But now, Li Shuang had found out because Li Ting had stood up for Jin'an and beaten up a soldier from their camp.

Looking at the three teenagers in front of her, Li Shuang rubbed her forehead. Without saying a word, she first made Li Ting stretch out his hand and gave him ten slaps on his palm.
