Li Shuang arranged the matters, discussed the specific methods of raiding the bandit stronghold with several other generals, and then entrusted Qin Lan with the main command to handle the siege. Li Shuang knew the strength of Changfeng Camp and was not worried about taking down that small fortress. After returning to her tent, she dealt with some daily military affairs, then wrote a letter about Li Ting's situation, arranging for someone to deliver it back to the capital to inform her father.

After completing all these tasks, it was already evening. Li Shuang rubbed her shoulders and collapsed onto the bed. Having not slept the entire day, she was exhausted. Closing her eyes, she fell into a deep sleep.

She thought she would have dreamless sleep, but for some reason, she began to dream as soon as she closed her eyes. There was always a man in her dreams. Half-naked, and wearing a black mask, he stood quietly on a snowy mountain peak, embracing her with burning passion. Then he used his lips, ambiguously and dangerously rubbing against her forehead, cheeks, and lips.

In the dream, she wanted to struggle, but she found herself unable to leave his embrace.

It wasn't until the man in the dream kissed her neck, about to open her clothes, that Li Shuang suddenly woke up.

In that instant when she opened her eyes, it was midnight. There was silence in Changfeng Camp because she was asleep, undisturbed by anyone. There was no candle lit inside the tent, and the darkness around her felt even colder and clearer compared to the heat in her dream. She stared blankly for a while, then raised her hand to cover her face.

With a deep sigh, she realized... she had such a dream.

It was... lonely.

However, when she sat up and wanted to drink some water, she found that her blanket had been pulled down a bit, and her clothes were slightly disheveled. Li Shuang was a bit stunned. Did she really strip herself in the dream?

Feeling that something was wrong, she lifted the thick curtain at the door and went out. The soldier guarding outside was a newcomer who had just joined this year, holding his sword and dozing off. But the moment Li Shuang lifted the curtain and stepped out, the soldier immediately woke up, standing up straight and saluting. "General!"

Li Shuang glanced at him. "Did anyone come to my camp just now?"

The soldier was taken aback, blinking at Li Shuang. "No, General. No one was found coming to the main camp."

No matter how skilled someone was, it was impossible to not alert the guards and stand right at the door. It seems... it was just her dream.

Li Shuang didn't say anything else and returned to her tent. Sitting on the bed, she sighed deeply. In her heart, she thought, maybe next time she went back to the capital, she should really let Father arrange a marriage for her. She couldn't endure the loneliness anymore in the cold winter of the north. It was time to welcome the spring of life...

The next morning, when Li Shuang left the camp again, it was Qin Lan who brought back the news that all the bandits had been wiped out.

Li Shuang nodded, but then she remembered the mysterious man she encountered in the bandit stronghold. She couldn't shake off her concern about how he knew her whereabouts. She pondered over the details of yesterday, suddenly recalling the red stripe spreading to the corner of his eye on his left chest.

The pattern was similar to that tattoo, Li Shuang seemed to have seen it somewhere before.

She rubbed her chin and thought for a while, then her eyes suddenly lit up. "Where's that little soldier, Jin'an?" She asked Luo Teng, "Where is he now?"
