(Ed’s POV)
I screwed up. I screwed up big time.
It’s my fault that she ran out, my fault she ended up passing out because of the cold, my fault she’s in the hospital. It’s my fault that she’s- she's-.
I couldn't even think about it.
Even if the girl hadn’t been broken it was still way too soon to make a move like that.
Suddenly my phone starts vibrating. I took it out of my pocket to see what it is.
Incoming call from: Harreh!!!!! (The best out of 1D)
Mental note to self, stop harry from nicking your phone and changing the contact names.
I pressed the answer button. “Harry, what do you want?” I groaned.
“Ed, for fucks sake try and brighten up a bit will ya? Honestly….”
“Why should I be happy? IT’S ALL MY BLOODY FAULT!” I shouted down the phone. tears forming in my ears.
“Calm down. Look, I know that you feel you are completely responsible for this, but technically it’s all James’ fault. Anyway I have good news.”
That made me sit up and listen properly.
“What? What’s the good news? Is it about Izzy? Is she getting better? Is she…”
“Geese Ed! Shut up for a minute and I can tell you!”
even though I couldn’t see him I could tell harry was rolling his eyes at me. “
She woke up this morning. They don’t know why, but she’s awake again!”
I was so happy that I couldn’t talk.
“Ed? Ed you still there buddy?”
“Yeah. And thank God! Does that mean I can go and see her? Can I bring her in presents and flowers and cards and chocolates and….” He cut me off mid-sentence.
“Wow man. You’re really falling hard for her aren’t you?” I didn’t reply.
Because to be honest, I don’t know what’s happening.
I’ve never felt this way before, not even when I was with... with Alice.
Instead I just asked Harry what time visiting hours were, and I went and brought some ‘I’m Sorry’ gifts.
I was going to show her how much she meant to me, even if I myself couldn't understand why.
