A week passed by and since they were satisfied that I would be in good hands and that my health had improved greatly, the hospital were discharging me.

I was sat in Cloe’s car, listening to the radio, when an Ed Sheeran song began to play. “Ugh, turn it off please.” I muttered, unable to listen to it for another second.

Clo just gawked at me, but she changed the station.

Then a One direction tune came on. She saw my face and quickly changed again.

It wasn’t that I didn’t like 1D anymore, just Harry was annoying.

“What happened to you Izzy?” she muttered.

I just sighed and shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know Cloe; I’m just not in the mood for it I guess.”

“Since when are you not in the mood for an Ed fucking Sheeran song? Wasn’t it you who always said how his music suited every occasion?” Realisation suddenly flooded her face.

“Oh my god! You love him don’t you? But then why are you upset that he kissed you…”

“Shut up Cloe! I do not love him okay? And yeah, under normal circumstances I would be over the moon that he kissed me, but the only reason he did it was cause he was drunk.”

She gave me an odd look. “What would make you think that Izzy?” she whispered

“Because I know that if he was sober he would never even think of kissing someone like me. I’m just a normal girl studying Music at uni and doing the odd gig, and I’m not good enough for someone like him. He’s famous; there are thousands of girls who are better and more attractive than me that would happily date him, so why would he even give me a second glance? There’s no point in even thinking about him.” Cloe looked at me for a moment while she thought about it.

“You’re wrong you know.” She finally stated while we were driving home. I looked up.

“About what?”

“He might be famous but you of all people know that he isn’t that shallow, and besides, you are good enough for him. But what you told me still doesn’t explain why you don’t want to listen to his or the boys’ music.”

“I told you, I’m just not in the mood for it.” She rolled her eyes at me.

“Of course that’s the reason Izzy. Of course it is.” She muttered.

I guess there was a reason we were best friends, we could just about always tell how the other was feeling. And right now, I was afraid that she could read me like a book. An extremely cheesy romantic book for that matter.
