"I don't care" the boy says, his eyes not leaving mine. He leaps over to us, dodging Clover and shoving me to the ground. His hands wrap around my throat, I bring my leg up to his stomach and shove him off me.

"I don't want to fight you, the x-men lied to me, I'm so sorry" I say, standing up and extending my hand to him. He grabs my hand and pulls me down; Clover shoves him down to the ground before he can try to strangle me again.

He stands up, pulling out a knife and stabbing Clover's thigh, I grab the knife and throw it across the room, I'm not interested in stabbing him but I'm not letting him kill us. Clover grimaces but punches him across the face, he stumbles a few feet back. Clover doesn't stop, she continues to punch him and kick with her uninjured leg.

I go behind him and slam him against the wall, pressing him firmly against it so he can't escape. "Storm didn't know, stop attacking her and leave" Clover says, her voice as cold as ice. She stands next to me, she doesn't seem too bothered by her stab wound, I can see blood on her jeans.

"Go take care of your wound" I say to Clover, Clover shakes her head. I sigh and give Clover a pointed look, she shrugs in response and raises her eyebrows.

"I don't care, she ruined my life and I have spent the last eight years planning my revenge" he snaps. "These scars on my back are from you, I was lucky to survive" he growls, his tone venomous and his eyes filled with anger, so much anger and it's all directed at me.

"I didn't do it on purpose, I swear, I would never-"

"Apologises and weak excuses mean nothing" he says. He squeezes his arm out of my grip and sends his elbow crashing into my face, I swear as blood starts pouring from my nose. He punches me, hitting my eye and then shoves Clover down.

He races over picking up his knife, I try to summon a gust of wind, but nothing happens. He smirks, figuring out what's happened. "I've disabled your powers for the next twenty minutes, like I said I've been planning this for a long time." My mouth goes dry, he has thought this through a lot.

He races towards me; I duck out of his way and he stumbles. He turns himself around and his knife scratches the back of my neck, I place my hand to the back of my neck, there's blood. I punch him in the stomach and grab his knife, he yanks the knife out of my grip and raises it, the knife misses my face by an inch.

My heart races and my palms are sweaty, did he turn the power off? It shouldn't take Tony this long to get it back on, I just hope the security system will alert the avengers that there's a random stranger in the training room who is trying to kill us, well mainly me.

"Clover, go" I tell her, not taking my eyes off the boy. "Get help" I say, she'll be safe if she leaves and then she can send Tony or another avenger down, I'm sure they can easily defeat this boy. They are the world's greatest superheroes after all.

Clover spins around, kicking the boy in stomach, he drops his knife, and he lashes out at Clover, his fingernails causing a scratch on Clover's cheek. I shove him, sending a punch to his forehead, he stumbles once again but kicks me, his foot hitting my chest. I groan slightly, a sharp pain emerging from my chest.

"Clover!" I say, taking my eyes off him for one second to look at her. "Go." This isn't Clover's fight, I don't think he'll care if she leaves, he is here for me.

The boy picks up his knife and throws it into my shoulder. I gasp, more pain appearing. Before I can even blink, he pulls out a second knife and throws it towards me, it embeds itself in my thigh. I pull it out and hold it, maybe my best chance is stabbing him somewhere non-lethal and then tying him up until the avengers get down here.

I head towards him, trying to ignore the sharp pain in my body. "Those knives are laced with a drug that's extra painful for mutants" he says, giving me a cocky smile. He raises another knife. "I figured it would slow you down."

The pain in my leg and shoulder is worse than other times I've been stabbed, the wounds are feeling hot and like they'll burst open. I stumble forwards and trip over nothing, landing on on the floor. I groan loudly as I attempt to pull myself to my feet. My eyes widen as he picks up another knife, throwing it towards my chest. I tell my body to move, but my body isn't listening to me, too busy focusing on the pain.

"Storm!" Clover yells, jumping in front of me. Clover gasps as the knife lands in her neck, the boy opens his mouth in shock, looking horrified.

"Clover" I say, her body falls back into my arms, and I gently guide her down to the ground. "You'll be alright, Bruce will fix it" I say, seeing all the blood pouring out of her wound. I pull off my jacket, placing it over her wound.

The boy sprints out towards the emergency door, I know it will lead upstairs and out of the building, but I don't care, I just need Clover to be okay. "Storm" Clover whispers, her face full of pain. She grabs my hand. "I love you."

"I love you, just stay with me, okay? We can try again" I say, tears forming in my eyes but I blink them back. Clover's hand slips out of mine and onto the ground, her eyes closing and her body becoming limp.

"Clover!" I scream, shaking her body, I feel for a pulse, I can't find one. "No, no, Clover, you're okay, you're okay" I say, shaking her body and placing my hand on top of her chest, I can't feel her chest moving.

"Tony, somebody help!" I scream as loud as I can. "We need help!" I hear footsteps rushing down and I realise the light has been turned on.

*Author's Note* Killing off Clover was so hard for me to do.
