All members of the Scouts begin to group in formation as the looming shadow of Wall Rose grows bigger and bigger in sight. Smoke can be seen emerging from the other side of the wall as it disappears into the orange sky while faint yells can be heard and you can even see the small silhouettes of panicked soldiers running back and forth at the top of the wall.

It took about half an hour to finally reach the entrance to the city, but instead of the gate ready to open for your arrival, a large boulder now rests in its place blocking off any sort of entry for anyone, including titans. You stare at the massive gaping hole and remember the soldier saying Colossal titan. 'There's no way a titan can be this big...' You think to yourself, a chill running down your spine.

A few of the Scouts eliminate any remaining titans trying to force their way in, leaving the area clear from any titan activity.

Levi hops off his horse and adjusts his ODM gear. The rest of his squad does the same and just as you're about to follow, Levi stops you.

"You're not going." He says firmly.

"But... my ankle doesn't hurt as much anymore."

"I don't care. Forcing any more combat will make it worse. Go with the injured to the infirmary."

"Please. I know I can help in some wa-"

"That's an order." He cuts you off. "Petra, take (Y/N) with the rest of the injured. They'll be making their way back to HQ. The rest of us will go in to check the situation. Join us soon after." Levi commands.

"Yes sir!" Petra says as she looks over her shoulder to make sure you heard. You sigh and give her a nod as you whip the reins of your horse to follow closely behind. You shoot a glare at Levi to which he only responds with the same tired look he always has before taking off.

You clench your teeth as pain shoots up your leg with every step. The infirmary loomed ahead, a place you never expected to visit so soon after joining the Scouts.

"I don't need to sit around," you mutter under your breath, wincing as you push open the door to the infirmary. The room smelled of antiseptic, with injured soldiers scattered across the beds, some groaning softly, others sleeping.

A weary nurse looked up from her clipboard. "You're new, aren't you? Sit down over there, I'll be with you in a moment."

You comply, gingerly easing yourself onto a nearby empty bed. Your mind races with images of the chaos you just experienced. The titans, the wall... and all you can do is hobble away with an injured ankle. Guilt gnawed at you. You should be there helping, not lying around.

Minutes passed like hours until the nurse finally approached, a kind smile softening her tired eyes. "Let's have a look, shall we?"

After a quick examination and a reassuring prognosis that it was just a sprain, you were left alone to ponder your predicament. Your fingers traced the rough bandage around your ankle as you watch the sun dip below the horizon through the infirmary window.
You'd fall asleep if it wasn't for the groans of the injured soldiers surrounding you that weren't as lucky as you.

Eventually, footsteps approached. You glance up and see Levi making his way over.

"Did you come to criticize my performance today?" You grunt, placing your cheek on your hand and looking the other way.

He remains silent and instead pulls up a chair to sit beside you.

"Let me see your leg." He says.

You extend your leg out with a bit of aggression in your movement. "They said it was just a sprain." You mutter.
