Chapter 3
I woke up with a very bad headache and I felt very dizzy. Holding my head with both hands, I slowly sat up on the bed and closed my eyes for a moment. When I opened my eyes again and scanned the room, I felt vomit making its way up. Thankfully, there was an empty bucket on the floor beside me so I grabbed that and vomited in it. There was a knock on my door as soon as I was done.
"Come in," I said feeling a piercing pain in my throat. My head continued to pound and I was doing my best to keep my eyes open to see who's coming.
"Hey," I was surprised to see Glenn coming in my room. I had no memory of what happened after seeking for girls last night at the club. It was all a blurr in the back of my head. Like a dream you're trying to remember after a week. Not bothering to speak to avoid the sharp pain in my throat, I just took in his appearance. He was wearing a pair of black pants and a white shirt topped by a grey coat. His hair was a wet-looking mess and he had his sun glasses hanging on his shirt. When I looked back at his face, he had a smirk on his lips and he wasn't exactly looking at me now. He just caught me checking him out. Great. And I mean that 'great' sarcastically.
"How're you feeling, Ms. Carter?" he asked. Confusion struck me when he called me by my last name. I mean, what could've happened last night?
"I'm fine," I said lying.
"I don't think so," he contradicted, the smirk on his face vanishing. I frowned at his response.
"Then why ask if you're not going to believe me then?" I said sounding a bit harsher than I intended to be. I dropped my head on both my hands causing vomit to slowly work its way up again. I stretched my hand to my side to grab the bucket again but it wasn't there anymore. There wasn't time to look for it, facing downward, I started to puke with my hands wrapped on my stomach.
God this is so embarrassing.
My first time, and Glenn's here with me.
I didn't want to open my eyes nor look up when I was finished. This was too embarrassing I even feel the warm blood on my face making me sweat.
"I guess this is your first hangover, huh Telly?" his voice coming too close infront of me.
When I looked up, he was crouching less than a foot infront of me sliding the bucket to the side. He held the bucket for me while I was vomiting with my eyes closed. How nice.
"You know it," I said feeling the sharp pain on my throat again.
"I didn't know you were grumpy in the morning," he pointed out.
"Well, most people are," I said as a matter of fact.
"I'll try not to be," I said attempting a sweet smile.
He smiled back and stood up. I haven't noticed how tall he was. He might be at least a foot taller than me which adds up to my little crush on him.
"Wait here, I'll just go get something," he said turning back and walking out the door.
While waiting for him, I tried not to move in fear that I might vomit again which would just make me a whole lot more embarrassed than before, but after a few moments of being alone, I got bored and stood up slowly. When I was finally standing on both feet, I was really glad that the sick feeling was passing really quick though it's still there. I took my first step towards the door then another until I got the door knob in both my hands. I felt it twisting and when it opened, I quickly stepped out of the way then Glenn appeared with a cup of coffee on his hand.
"Telly," he said in surprise.
"Sorry I took so long. I had a little chat with Troy in the dining. He's eating pizza," he said.
