Chapter 14 (Glenn's POV)

Every now and then, I would wake up to the sound of rain falling from outside, and to Leroy's loud snoring. Who could sleep with him in the same room?

Coming to conclusion that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep in my situation, I made my way to the kitchen to fix myself a cup of coffee. The clock by the door says 4:13am. I usually put more sugar than the normal coffee person would. I just like it that way.

"Glenn," someone with a soft scratchy voice called from behind me while I was pouring sugar on my drink.

"Hmm?" I answered as I turned around to face Telly who was a good 4 feet away from me.

Without any warning, she came closer and wrapped her arms around me. I wasn't waiting for her to say something. I didn't want to push her away. I wasn't angry anymore, but I couldn't hug her back. I found myself frozen in shock, and I cant move a muscle. She buried her face on my shirt and I felt her sobbing softly.

The situation made me want to burst into tears but all I did was stand there frozen on my feet and let her cry he eyes out on my shirt.

Finally, I was able to wrap my arms around her, and we stayed like that for the next few minutes.

I let go of her and she pulled herself off of me. I wiped the unwanted tears on her eyes with my shirt, and led her to the livingroom.

"We should go back to bed," she suggested.

I just nodded once. I was about to go back to my place on the sofa when she spoke again. "Leroy's snoring is too loud again," she frowned.

"I guess you may want to go back upstairs with April so that you can get a good night sleep. I'll try to endure this," I suggested.

"Good luck with that," she wrapped a blanket around her and went back upstairs.

"Good night," I called.

"Good night," she answered softly.

A few minutes later, there was a loud roar of thunder which woke up Leroy from his slumber.

"Why the fuck is it raining this hard?" he sked out loud and walked to the kitchen. "I'm fixing myself a cup of warm coffee if you don't mind," he said in a sing song voice.

"You're already there so..." I trailed off. I wonder how the girls are doing? Should I go upstairs and check on them?

No. What am I thinking? Although my intentions are pure, I really shouldn't.

"Glenn do you have an extra blanket?" Telly asked from the staircase.

"I'm sorry, I just sent a set off to laundry earlier today," I said. then I noticed that she's shaking and she's got her hands wrapped around her. "where's your blanket?" I asked.

"April took it from me in her sleep."

I tsked, grabbed her freezing hand, and led her upstairs to my closet. I pulled out a sweatshirt and handed it to her. As soon a he had it on, I hugged her and she accepted my hug freely.

This is one of the best feelings ever.

I led her to the guest bedroom and found that it was a bit warmer in there. She said it was better there since it was warmer although there weren't any windows.

I waited until she was settled on the bed and seeing as though she was still cold, I decided to keep her warm by wrapping myself on to her then she fell asleep.
