Soon Carrie and Richmond finished their date and were now in Richmond's car on their way to drop Carrie home.

As Rita asked Richmond.

Rita: So how's your trip? Nothing some uneventful I hope.

Richmond: Just a conversation and I explained to her about my father, uncles and cousins.

He shows Rita his picture.

Rita: So this is what your father looks like?

Richmond: Yep not to mention that's my uncles and my cousins as the Four Horsemen.

Rita: You really had a great family.

Richmond: Thanks.

Richmond and Carrie were sitting in the front while Rita is sitting in the back.

She even took the odd glance to have a quick peek at them.

Richmond: I'm very pleased that you had a good time today, Carrie. Maybe we could do it again sometime in the near future?

Carrie smiled, and her cheeks became tinted with a light red.

Carrie: Thanks, I'd really like to do that.

Richmond also smiles at Carrie's words.

Richmond: Great! The apartment I'm currently staying in is literally just across the street from there.

Carrie: Yes, I'd love to go there. I don't do there as often as I should, so I'll take any excuse to go there.

Richmond: Well I promise you that I'll protect you whenever you are in danger. And I promise that even if I'm not in school, you still have protection.

Carrie: How so?

Richmond: As you must know I am a friend of Tommy Ross. I can convince him to at least guard you whenever I'm not in school and he is popular enough to hold back some bullies and not to mention he has friends that can help him to look after you.

Rita: But Richmond you must know his girlfriend is a part of that group that bullies Carrie.

Richmond: I know, though there might be a reason he chose Sue Snell he is protective of her, I think he might be able to make her reason.

Carrie: Are you sure about this?

Behind them, Rita couldn't keep the smile off her face. To her, it seemed likely Richmond had succeeded in helping Carrie out of the shell she'd been stuck in for so long where others had failed.

Rita: (Thought) They're so smitten together. Just an adorable pair, I think.

They came to a stop along the curbside in front of Carrie's house, which was empty as Margaret was still at work in the laundry and dry cleaners within the older part of Chamberlain.

Rita: Okay you two, and here we are. Now best say goodbye to each other; remember that it's a school night tonight.

Richmond: Okay... I really enjoyed our time today, Carrie, really I did. I'll see you in school tomorrow and we'll have lunch again.

Carrie: I also really enjoyed today as well Richmond, and thanks for doing this for me. I'll see you in the morning.

Carrie gives a small but happy smile as she got out of the car.

Richmond: And goodnight m'lady.

He blows a kiss as Carrie closed the door.

Carrie upon hearing that couldn't help but giggle madly. It was a sound that took Richmond's breath away as he listened. And after a final goodbye, Richmond drove off, with Carrie's laughter still resonating in her and Richmond's ears.
