Time flew by, it was already late afternoon, the sun was about to set. Everyone parents had come to pick them up. Except Vexter's and Nathalie's. Everyone bid goodbye to each other and hence, the get-together ends.

"Are you sure you can go by yourself Nat?" Vexter asked
"Well yeah...my house isn't that far..." Nathalie replied, quite hesitantly
"You seem hesitant, I'm going with you"
"Vex it's fine, you'll be late and your parents will probably be worried, plus you know how strong I am-"
"Enough with the blabbering, let's go, it's getting late"

Even though Nathalie insisted she'll be fine, Vexter wouldn't accept it. They walked along the footpath, staring at the glimmering stars in the sky. An akward silence surrounding them.

"Have you ever been in love Nat?" Vexter suddenly asked breaking the silence
"What's with that sudden question?" Nathalie suspiciously asked
"Just asking" He replied looking quite flustered

Nathalie remembered about her childhood crush. Then she was only 8 or 9 years old.
Now she's 14. Recently, she hasn't been in love.

"Well even if I did, you know I'm not that person to date, straight to marriage!" Nathalie chuckled
"I'm with you!" Vexter said I'm agreement
They both laughed. Not long after, Nathalie reached her home.
"I feel bad for making you go home alone Vex"
"It's alright, besides, I'm a man-"
"Boy" Natalie corrected
"Yea yea, I can take care of myself Nat, thanks for caring"
"Of course, that's what friends are for!"
With that, Nathalie bid goodbye to Vexter and went home.

Nathalie rang the bell and her mom opened the door.
"How was the get-together dear?"
"It was great mom, where's dad?"
"He's outside with your brother, he'll be back soon"
"I'll be going to my room"
"Alright"

Nathalie went to her room and checked the group. Tons of messages from Scarlette.
As expected. Nathalie called Scarlette.
No answer. 'She's probably busy' Nathalie thought. Nathalie messaged Vexter.

'Reached home safely?'
Vexter answerd,
'yep, my parents agreed to let me go to the camping. How about the others?'
'Don't know. I'll ask them tomorrow'
'Alright'
The conversation ends.
