The Camping Disaster

Chapter 16: All is settled

One by one, everyone came. Vexter had also set up the tent for the boys and gathered wood for the fire.

"Whew! That was a lot of hard work!" Vexter exclaimed
"Isn't it?" Nathalie asked
"Nat, is there any signal here?" Scarlette asked
"I've checked, no there's not"
"Bummer!"
"Guys! I'm hungry! What's for breakfast?" Tiana asked
"Sandwiches" Nathalie answered
"I've brought two pizzas also" Vexter added
"I've brought some fruits" Felix said
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Tiana exclaimed
"Fruits? What fruits?" Nathalie asked Felix
"Oranges, mangoes,lychees and apples" Felix answered
"Not bad" Rachel said while looking around
"Decent for 2 days right?" Nathalie asked

Everyone agreed. The group had decided to stay at the camping site for two days, Friday and Saturday. They are supposed to return on Sunday.
Nathalie Unboxed the foods and gave them to the rest of the group.

"Oi Nat! What about the drinks?" Scarlette asked
"Water" Nathalie replied
"Ugh that's so boring!"
"Water is good for us"
"Yea yeah"
"Sit down Nat" Vexter said while pointing to a seat beside him
"Why do you always gotta be with Nat? She's a girl, she'll sit with us, right Nat?"
Scarlette argued
Nathalie looked flustered. She didn't know what to do.
"You're stressing out the poor girl!" Rachel exclaimed
"But she has to pick" Scarlette said in response
"Who do you pick?" Vexter asked

Nathalie was never good at decision making, so she became even more nervous. She once looked at Vexter, then at Scarlette. Then she sat on the ground quite far from the two.
Everyone burst out laughing as they understood her actions.

"Now that's smart!" Rachel chuckled

Nathalie smiled at Rachel. Rachel has straight hair, brushed nicely.
Rachel didn't have any hobbies in particular. One hobby she did have, was writing. Well writing anything. Quite a unique hobby I must say!

"I never expected that!" Vexter commented

With another fit of laughter and jokes, their meal came to an end.
Now, it was evening, the sun was setting by the lake nearby, birds returning to their homes and the air quite lovely.

Some of them, had already fallen asleep Nathalie stared at the setting sun
'so gorgeous!' she wispered
"What's gorgeous?" Came a voice
"Vex! Aren't you asleep yet?"
"Eh! I wasn't feeling like sleeping, besides, I would like to spend for time with you"
"Why are you being so cheesy right now?"
"Am I?"

They both burst out laughing

It was already nightime. Nathalie checked her phone, it was 7 pm. Everyone had already woken up and was exploring the place. Nathalie and Vexter walked along the long dark trees with Natalie's torch.

"Exploring is so boring!" Scarlette said with a yawn

Scarlette's hairclip was shining in the dark so it was quite easy to recognise her. She was a girl of curly hair and loved to look stylish. She also edited like Vexter.

"It would be better to just be at the campsite" She then said
"Yep" Natalie agreed
"So should we go back?" Vexter asked
"Yeah sure, these 'exporing' is boring anyways" Nathalie answered

So, they all went back. The boys made a fire and Nathalie brought out the marshmallows. They roasted them in the fire and gossiped about a lot of things.

"Guys, don't you think Nat and Vex are a bit too close? Is there something going on between them?" Scarlette suddenly asked making Nathalie and Vexter flinch

"That's absurd!" Vexter argued

"I agree! Just because we're a bit more closer than the rest, doesn't mean we're together! Besides I don't date" Nathalie explained with a note of anger in her voice

"Can't we just change the subject?" Tiana asked
"Which one? Physics? Maths? Or Biology?"
Vexter joked, sending everyone into a fit of laughter.
