It was 3 AM. Nathalie got out of the tent. Everyone was sleeping peacefully. When she got out, she saw didn't see Vexter, was he still inside the tent? Just then she saw a shadow. She went closer and saw it was Vexter. He was staring at the lake.
Nathalie went closer to him and said,
"Ready?"
"Born ready"
They walked along the lake and went behind the cottage. They saw Mr Miller and an unknown man talking.
"Will we export them today?" The man asked
"Why not? Hell yeah we will" Mr Miller replied in a annoyed tone
"Alright, I'll talk to Jake"
Just as he was about to leave-
"Wait Andrew"
"Yes boss?"
Then Mr Miller wispered something in his ear and Andrew bowed down and left.
Nathalie and Vexter decided to follow Andrew. They were following him and saw another man, which they guessed was James.
"Oi James! Boss said that tonight we have a huge order, tell the others to hurry"
"A huge order? By tonight?" James asked looking puzzled
"Yup! The police are finding more hints and now the roumors are proved to be true, so Boss decided to switch locations , so this is our last order here"
"I'm really gonna miss this place"
"Yeah-"
Snap!
Nathalie had unintentionally stepped on a twig.
"Did you hear that?" James asked
"It's probably a squirrel or something" Andrew shrugged
"I don't think a squirrel is able to make this much sound-"
"You worry too much! Come on! Boss said to hurry"
Then they both left.
Nathalie breathed a sigh of relief.
They had almost been caught!
Good thing Andrew was there, or James would probably lock them up right now, and would probably kill them or sell them or- alright fine, let's continue.
"Be more careful! We almost got caught!" Vexter wispered with a note of urgency in his voice
"I'm sorry, I didn't-" Nathalie stopped and looked at Vexter with a horrified expression
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Nathalie pointed to a shadow. As Vexter was about to say something- Nathalie covered his mouth and pulled him behind the tree. Vexter stared at her.
The shadow was gone. Nathalie signed and said,
"We should try to go back, it's better to let the police handle this, We'll tell Carter everything tomorrow, he'll find out"
Vexter nodded and as they were about to return-
"Who are you guys?" A voice came from behind them
Nathalie and Vexter saw that it was none other than...
