The Camping Disaster

Chapter 22: Caught!

James! They had been caught.

"Wait you two are the kids from the morning! Andrew come here!"

Nathalie and Vexter couldn't escape because James was holding Nathalie with one of his hands and Vexter with his other. He was too strong.

"What's up James- wait! Who are these kids!?" Andrew asked looking astonished
"They are from nearby" James answered
"Oh ho! Look who's trying to be detectives! Tell me, why were you following us?" Andrew asked, looking at them suspiciously

"We were just hungry! Then we decided to ask Mr Miller if he had any crackers, then we saw you guys. We weren't following you guys, it just seems like it"

Both men stared confusingly at us. Vexter also stared at Nathalie, looking like a lost little girl! He was so surprised Nathalie was so good at lying!

"Maybe your intentions weren't that bad but now, since you've caught us, we can't let you two go" Andrew finally said

Vexter tried to break free but James was too strong. James gripped Vexter's hand more tightly and Vexter flinched
Nathalie looked hopelessly at the ground. What would happen now?

"James, we'll take them to boss, he'll know what to do with them"

Vexter nor Nathalie didn't say anything. They could do nothing but follow them. Of course there was wasn't any chance of escaping. Nathalie had an idea. She signalled Vexter with her eyes. Vexter understood the signal and nodded.

Andrew and James started walking. Both Nathalie and Vexter were still captured.
Vexter looked at Nathalie.

He wispered,
'at the count of three'
'1'
'2'
"3!"

"What the-" James stopped

Before James could even react, Nathalie and Vexter pulled with all their might and escaped from James's grip. They then started  running.

They were running so much, it felt like they were running for their lives! What am I even saying? They were running for their lives!

Vexter even fell down but Nathalie helped him up and continued their running. They were almost there!

Then they saw a person they never saw before.

"ISSAC! CATCH THEM!" James screamed

The man, whom Nathalie and Vexter guessed was Isaac, caught them. Vexter was still trying to break free but Isaac flicked his forehead. He flicked it so hard that his forehead even started bleeding.

"Why were you two running?" Isaac asked
"These sneaky kids! They sure know how to escape!" James said, out of breath
"Take them to Boss!" Andrew commanded

This was it, now they were surely doomed!

Vexter and Nathalie stared at each other. Were they gonna get killed? Would Mr Miller be taught cruel? How...did they come to this?...
