The next morning, Callison woke up with a start. Her usual cheerful attitude was a bit more annoying-by Keith's standards- than usual.

"What's with that smile?" Keith remarked. "That's very creepy Callison."

Callison just smiled at him. "I'm too happy today to get mad at you."

"I think you should do what Callison is doing." Their mother smiled the same smile as Callison. "We should start the day with a smile."

Keith looked at the both of them then at his father-who was holding a newspaper that covered his face. "Dad, please tell me you find this equally creepy."

His father dropped the newspaper and-much to Keith's annoyance-seemed to have also been smiling. "Don't mind him, Callison."

"I'm the only normal one in this house." Keith sighed in frustration. The three laughed at his response.

"Callison, I'll drop you off at the restaurant." Their father smiled at his daughter. "I'd like to talk a bit with your boyfriend."

"Sure, Dad. No harm in that." Callison gulped her orange juice. She felt a bad feeling in her gut instantly. "But he said he'll pick me up at 7."

"That's very nice dear, but don't we have a class reunion later?" Callison's mom interrupted without listening to what her daughter just said.

"We could always drop off Callison by the restaurant. It's on our way." Callison's dad insisted.

"I suppose I'd talk to your boyfriend, too." Callison's mom smiled sweetly. "Besides, if he does anything bad to you, I know Martial Arts. And your father had special training. We won't leave him unscathed."

Callison's mom gave a sinister laugh that made Keith and Callison uneasy. Their father joined her.

"I feel sorry for your boyfriend." Keith turned to his sister and mouthed, "Our parents could pass as serial killers."

Callison nodded as her parents continued their sinister laughs.

After that uncomfortable breakfast, Keith decided to hang out by the living room. Callison was there, too. She was watching a reality tv series.

"I can't believe they fall for that act!" She said angrily. "Blaire is obviously lying."

Keith laughed at her reaction. "Reality tv shows are scripted."

"Whatever, Keith." Callison punched her brother lightly. "I love watching it. You can't do anything about that."

Callison thought of an idea.

"What happened with Kath?"

The question made Keith drop a pillow he was holding. "Wha-what abo-about it?"

Callison raised an eyebrow which made Keith sigh.
"Okay. So I was late for half an hour. She was waiting for a long time outside the amusement park."

"You're an idiot. She must've looked stupid there. Waiting for half an hour." Callison sighed.

"It's not my fault I overslept." Keith defended.

"Um... it is your fault." Callison crossed her arms. "You were the one who overslept."

"Uhhhhh. Can't you just support me, Cal?" Keith whinned.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." Callison waved him off. Keith suddenly thought of something to fight back with. He decided that he would not back down without a fight.

"So... who's this goldilocks I hear?" He smirked.

That caught Callison off guard which caused her cheeks to flush.
