Jhune's POV

The silence between us is overwhelmingly deafening, and none of us dared to break the stillness.

I don't know how I ended up in this situation, it just happened in the blink of an eye.

This whole messed up situation is freaking me out!

I stole a glance from the corner of my eye. He was there, eyes locked on the road, serious and focused, yet completely calm and unaffected by my presence—unlike me.

When I first saw him, all I wanted to do was run, but I couldn’t move. It was as if I was rooted to the spot.

I don’t know what to do! I can’t think straight after he suddenly appeared in front of me. So when he said he wanted to talk earlier, I hesitated.

I thought I had forgotten everything, but it turns out I’m still affected by what happened between us. I kept convincing myself that agreeing to talk to him would clear things up between us.

I can’t help but glance at him repeatedly. I can’t stop admiring him, even though I want to. How can someone be like this? He’s even more breathtaking up close.

I can at least say that I have a decent appearance, but him? Even the word “gorgeous” falls short of capturing his majesty.

How can someone be this perfect? Every aspect of him radiates wealth, making him even more striking.

"Is there something wrong with my face?" I nearly jumped when he suddenly spoke.

I pressed my lips together and looked away when I noticed his gaze shift toward me. I didn’t respond and kept my focus straight ahead.

We were once again enveloped in silence, so awkward that I almost wanted to muffle the sound of my own breathing.

We hadn’t exchanged any words by the time we stopped in front of a building. I couldn’t help but to be amazed by the structure.

"Stay still," he said before getting out of the car.

I thought he would just get something from inside the building and come back quickly, but I was surprised when the door next to me opened.

I blinked in confusion at what he did, but I got out of the car and followed him into the building.

What the hell was that?

I pushed the thought out of my mind. Once we were inside the building, we headed straight for the elevator.

I stood silently to the side, with a noticeable distance between us.

I had been wondering why I hadn’t seen any people since we entered. It seemed impossible that the place was closed to the public, as it was clearly still open.

I kept my eyes on his back as we walked into what I assumed was a restaurant.

I couldn’t help but gape at the beauty of the place. This was my first time entering such an exclusive venue; it was obvious that only the wealthy could gain access.

A man in a suit approached us, spoke briefly with him, and then guided us to our table.

As soon as I sat down, I scanned the room. The space was enormous, yet there wasn’t a single person in sight, which made me wonder.

When I looked up again, our eyes met. I quickly averted my gaze, because I felt uncomfortable looking at him.

"How about you, sir? What would you like to order?" a person I assumed was a waiter asked politely.
