Jhune's POV

Heavy footsteps echoed as I made my way to the sofa. I collapsed onto it and decided to turn on the TV, hoping to find something to watch. After flipping through several channels, I still couldn't find anything that caught my interest.

Frustrated, I turned off the TV and headed upstairs to browse through some books instead. While scanning the shelves, I noticed a small box tucked underneath.

It was the first time I had seen it. It wasn’t visible when standing, you had to bend down and look closely to spot it.

Curious, I took the box from the shelf to examine it. Inside, I found magazines, board games, and a box labeled "Jenga."

I sat on the couch and took out the magazines inside the box. My gaze immediately locked onto one of them.

It was a magazine that featured Zack on the cover. He was shirtless, wearing only a pair of branded beach shorts.

He wasn't even smiling, yet he looked so good. I swallowed hard, realizing I had been staring at it for a long time.

I averted my gaze and turned to the next page. Shit, what am I even thinking?

I couldn't help but be amazed by the models I saw. There were a lot of gorgeous models in there—handsome Alphas, pretty Omegas, and even hot Betas. But no matter how many faces I saw, my attention kept returning to him.

My eyebrows furrowed as my eyes landed on the woman beside him in the picture. She was beautiful, sexy, fair-skinned, and smooth—the type of Omega an Alpha could only dream of.

I must admit, she was attractive. She was so pretty that I could barely take my eyes off them. She and Zack looked great together, their chemistry was undeniable.

I smiled to myself, wondering if Zack had asked her out. I mean, how could he not, right?

I decided not to continue browsing and returned everything to the box. After carefully putting it back in its place, I headed downstairs.

Just as I reached the bottom, I saw Russel stepping out of Zack’s room.

Oh, you’re done?” I asked, and he nodded. He sighed deeply and turned to me.

Yeah. He’s as stubborn as ever. He just doesn’t know how to listen. That brat.” His voice was full of frustration.

It seemed like their conversation didn’t go well. He looked troubled.

I've been holding myself back from asking about what they talked about because I know it's private, even though I've been itching to say something.

He sighed. "Anyway, I’m heading out now. Please keep an eye on Zack for me," he said, tapping my arm. "You don’t need to babysit him, just make sure he’s okay." he added before leaving.

I was left standing there, silently watching him until he was out of sight. With a heavy sigh, I slumped onto the sofa.

Once again, I found myself blankly staring at the white ceiling, letting my mind wander. It was around the afternoon when I started to get bored, so I decided to check on Zack in his room—he might be getting bored too. I just wanted to see how he was doing, and then I'd leave right away.

Yeah, that's definitely a good idea. I was just doing this because Russel had asked me nicely. There's no other reason besides that.

I took a deep breath before knocking on the door a few times. When I didn’t hear a response, I slowly opened it.

I peeked inside, and when our eyes met, I gave him a small smile. “Hey, Can I come in?

He stared at me for a moment, then nodded, so I opened the door fully and stepped inside. I pulled up a chair and sat down beside him.
