Chapter 66: Threads of Bond is Thicker than the Threads of Crime

Officer Artemio, full name, Artemio Ricarte is part of the team that conducted the investigation of Luke's arson case. He is deemed by quite a number of officers in the station as the racist for his acts of misconducts involving Iro.

Just yesterday, officer Artemio undergone questioning about his recent misconduct involving him and Iro again. Someone caught him in the act and so he was arrested and detained. With the timing of his action, the current investigation team's suspicions was aroused, and deemed the act as an obstruction of justice. Finally, yesterday, he was put into questioning.

The questioning has shed light to his motivation why he was overly suspicious to Iro.

"Hindi n'yo ba nakikita, threat s'ya! That ongoing case involves concealing information. 'Di ba gano'n din s'ya? His profile was put into the highly confidential category, yet the whole purpose of his role being a special unit officer was to 'build trust'! Tsk, kalokohan."

"That man is hiding something. He's associated with quite a demographic of people. An artist, a pilot, and musicians. Surely there's something behind those."

"Tapos kayo, mga tatanga-tanga. 'Di man lang kayo nagdududa."

It was due to this dispute that the chief of investigation decides to remove Iro in the team. Also, so that he can focus on recovering from his injuries.

Officer Artemio was then questioned about the arson case, some time later that questioning.

"We suspect that there has been an interference during the first investigation, as we found out that the evidences didn't align with the reports, and that happens to involve... you. Did you do something to hide the truth?"

He didn't respond. 

"You seemed to possess some knowledge about the concealment of information, despite not part of the new investigation team... sneaky, huh. 'You think we aren't reading between the lines?"

Because of these, an order for authentication check of the reports from BFP and other investigation reports was launched, later that day. 

The next morning, Saga obtained the report from the Intel about Shiroi Miyeru, and the access to view inspector Shibata's restricted information. By only looking at the photo of Shiroi and Shibata, he could already see the resemblance of the two. 'Looks like inspector isn't really joking.'

Upon reading more about the report, he learnt that Shiroi was actually a musician, under Horizon Ent, who was supposed to debut 17 years ago, yet presumably died in a plane crash before he even make it. He took note of the location of the crash.

Agape, when asked about his position in Gassho as YU, stated that "I really did replaced Shiroi, or Iro as we are used to call him, as YU, but... not only because we wanted to continue Iro's dream. It's because we are forced to cover something up."

Shin, when asked about the file they have found said "I don't know what documents they had in there, before it was burnt down, but that one... says enough... We didn't realize soon enough that this was the method, the management did, for covering the incident up..." 

And then there is a report too with Touma and Nathan detailing about Rika, and the file they've found in Rika's flash drive. When asked why they didn't turn that over soon enough, they both responded with similar point.
