3. Pizza Hut Dinner
It's been two days since we got the news that I have cancer. For those 2 days I haven't been at school, instead the school have been informed about my condition and I have been allowed the week off to decide what I want to do.
Harry wanted to stay at home with me, but I refused and made him go in to work, convincing him that I was okay at home and promising him that I'd ring him straight away if anything happened.
So right now, I'm sitting downstairs on the sofa, still in my pyjamas watching "Camp Takota", which came out a few days ago, making me laugh, which is quite nice because for the last few days I've been feeling terrible.
Other than just watching TV and movies I've been trying to decide what to do, whether to choose to go through with the chemotherapy or not. It's such a hard decision and I've told Harry and he said we'll talk about it when he gets in from work today.
"Hi Harry," I smile as he walks back in from work.
"Hey Ems," he says, giving me a hug, "I decided we could go out for dinner tonight since you've haven't been out in ages. And we could talk and stuff," whilst throwing his bag on the floor.
"Yeah sure, where should we go?"
"Anywhere, fancy pizza?"
"Yeah sure, Pizza Hut okay then?"
"Yep," Harry says smiling, "We'll leave at about 7ish, so in a few hours."
"Okay, I should probably take a shower and get ready then," I say looking down at my current attire of messy hair and PJ's.
I leave to go upstairs to the bathroom to have a shower. I then opened the bathroom door and run out to my room across from the bathroom. I change into my underwear and then try and pick out what to wear. I think casual, as it's quite hot out and is fairly bright for the evening.
I choose a baby pink lace crop top, washed out light blue skinny jeans, pastel pink frilly socks and white Converse.
Once I've put my clothes on, I decide on what to do to tame my hair. I blow dry it, then as it is naturally wavy, leave it in its brown curls, and just braid the front to the side and pin it back into place.
After doing my hair, I decide to make an effort with my face. I put on a little bit of blusher, contour my cheeks, put on a thin line of top liner, mascara and put on a light lip gloss
All done. I sit on my bed and continue reading a book I found earlier on the Wattpad app from my phone.
"Ready?" Harry asks as he pokes his head round my door.
"Yep," I say, getting of my bed and picking up my bag from the floor.
We set off to Pizza Hut.
We sit at the table furthest away from everyone. After a few minutes a waiter around my age comes over. Tall, light brown/blonde hair, hazel eyes, cute.
"Hi, I'm Connor, your waiter for this evening. And I must say, you look beautiful tonight," looking straight at me, in a British accent with a hint of what sounds like Australian.
I sit there blushing. "Err, thanks," I mumble. No one ever compliments me, what was that?
"Hey," Harry says interrupting.
"Here are your menus, I'll be back in a bit, and so you have time to decide what you want. Have a nice evening," he says politely.
"Thank you," I reply, cooling down now.
As soon as he leaves Harry laughs, "He was so eyeing you up."
"Yeah well," I say raising my eyebrows at him, trying to think of a comeback, "Just yeah well," I laugh giving up.
"What are you going to get," Harry asks me.
"I think I'll just get the pasta bake and salad."
"The only person who comes to Pizza Hut and gets pasta. I think I'll get chicken strips as a starter and then the chicken delight pizza."
"What? The pasta here is so good," I retort.
We finish deciding just as Connor comes back.
"Have you guys decided yet?"
"Yeah, I'll get the pasta bake and salad please," I say.
"Drink?"
'Diet coke please," I reply.
"And we'll also get the chicken strips as a starter to share. And then the chicken delight pizza. I'll have a diet coke too please. Thank you," Harry says.
"Okay, it should take about 20 minutes, I'll bring your drinks out now though," he says smiling.

"So, I think I've decided what I want to do Haz."
"Yeah?" He looks surprised.
Just then, Connor comes out again with the drinks.
"Two diet cokes," he says, putting them in front of us before walking away.
"Thanks," Harry says as he turns to leave.
"Yeah, I'm just scared I'm going to make the wrong decision. I've decided that I'm going to go along with chemotherapy and see how it is and how it affects my life. But if it affects me, us, badly, I'm going to stop. If that happens I'll just live my life, the best I can, for the longest I can. Make the most of the time I have left," I say maturely, tears brimming.
"I think that's a good decision Em, I really do. I was sort of thinking the same thing. It's just the fact if the hospital let you do that or not. I'm sure they won't mind though."
"Yeah, hopefully. I just wanna act and live a normal life the best I can. Especially now that we know," I start tearing up.
Harry holds my hands. "Don't worry; we'll get through this together babe."
Our food comes out a while later. It was delicious as per usual. We ended up sharing, me eating half of Harry's and Harry eating half of mine.
Once I'd told Harry what I'd decided it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, not because I didn't think he'd agree, but because I'm paranoid person.
Connor comes out to take our plates.
"Would either of you like dessert?" he says pointing to the menus.
We look at each other. Harry nods at me but I shake my head.
"We'll just get one chocolate cookie dough please," Harry responds.
"Are you serious," I laugh, "I'm stuffed."
"Oh well, I could do with a bit of cookie dough, haven't had it in ages."
"True, enjoy it whilst I can," I say sadly.
"Em, please don't think negative. You might have so long left to live, there's no point thinking negatively about it."
"Harry, but it's just the fact that I know I'm going to die. Soon, sooner than you might think."
"I understand that. But anyone could die at any time. We just need to make the most of everything, okay?"
"Okay," I say agreeing with him.
We end up stuffing our faces with cookie dough.
