6. Chemotherapy- Part Two

EMILY'S POV-

Once I calm down from my break down, I drink some water.

Nurse Becca comes in. "Alright, darling?"

I nod, but it makes my head hurt. Suddenly everything startsspinning and I feel like I'm going to be sick.

Realising what was going to happen, Becca grabs the paperbucket from the table next to me and puts in under my chin as I throw up.

Harry comes to my other side, holding my hair back from myface, rubbing my back.

Once I'm done, I take a tiny sip of water and lay back down, sighing as Becca throws the bowl away and goes to wash her hands.

"Try to not move much, it won't help. Being sick isexpected, so I'll leave a few paper buckets here for you," she smilessadly before leaving.

"I think I'm going to try and sleep again Harry,"I say.

"Okay," he replies yawning.

"You should too," I say worried.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine," he laughslightly.

About fifteen minutes later, and I'm still awake, but havemy eyes closed. I open them to see Harry's fallen asleep on the chair next tomy bed. I press the buzzer on my bedside table, calling Nurse Becky or DrJames.

Nurse Becky walks in. "What's wrong hun," she sayslooking concerned.

"I'm fine Becca, I was just going to ask, could youplease get a spare cushion," I say pointing to an awkwardly anduncomfortably sleeping Harry.

She smiles at the sight of him, laughing lightly.

"Sure," she says walking out of my area of theward.

A minute later, she comes back her arms full of cushions andblankets.

I giggle at the sight, not being able to see her face.

She throws them on to my bed, before opening up a blanketand putting it over Harry; she then gets a few cushions tucking them underneathhis head.

She leaves the extra bedding at the end of my bed in a neatpile.

"Emily, I'm just going to pick up my daughter, Skylarfrom her child-minder early today so someone else might come when you ring youbuzzer," she informs me.

"Sure, that's fine. Are you bringing your daughterhere," I ask her.

"Yeah, it's not a regular thing, it's only because herchild-minder has somewhere to be and my husband is at away at work today," shesays sheepishly, "She loves meeting everyone here though and I'm glad mymanager is okay with it."

About while later, Becca comes back into the room, a littlegirl running in behind her.

The girl looks so familiar and suddenly everything clicks. She'sthe adorable stylish little girl, who gave us some money when me and Harry werebusking and said I looked pretty.

She smiles when she sees me, obviously remembering too.

"Mummy, mummy, mummy, this is the girl that was singingin town when I was with Daddy," she tells her Mum excitedly.

"Really? You sing?" Becca looked up at mesurprised.

I nod.

"Harry and I both. When we were busking in the towncentre, we met Skylar; she came up to me, saying that we sang well and put somemoney in our guitar case. She's adorable," I say smiling at the littlegirl.
