VIV'S POV:

Today Beth is having her scan and we're excited. I pull on jeans, a crop top and a cardigan. I pull on my runners and pull my hair into a bun. I go make breakfast and Beth walks in dressed in leggings, an over-sized top and denim jacket. She walks over and kisses me.

"Morning, Vivi" said Beth, smiling. "Morning, Beth. Did you sleep ok?" I ask. "I did, our baby seems to like me sleeping" said Beth, pulling me in for a kiss. We settle down for breakfast and then we clean up.

Once we finish, we head to the clinic and we check in. I smile at Beth, she has a hand on her stomach. I smile and place my hand on hers. "I love you" said Beth, looking at me. "I love you too, Beth" I said, smiling. We share a kiss and then we hear our names. 

We go inside and Beth lies on the bed. "If could pull your top up and your leggings down a bit, just so I can put the gel on your stomach" said Mary, smiling. Beth does it and smiles. She lies down and Mary smiles. Mary squirts gel onto Beth's stomach and grabs the wand.

She places it on Beth's stomach. She moves it around and smiles. She turns it up and smiles. "There is your baby's heart beat. Healthy and over 140." said Mary, showing us the monitor. We smile and Beth looks at me. 

"That's our baby" said Beth, smiling. "I can't wait till he or she is born" I said, smiling. Mary prints off pictures. "Your around 8 weeks and the baby is healthy" said Mary. She tells us the due date is 16th July 2027" said Mary, smiling. We thank her and leave.

We head to Cobham and we decide we should tell Sonia. We knock on her door and she says come in. "Hi, what can I do for you today?" asked Sonia. "We had a scan, I'm 8 weeks pregnant" said Beth, smiling. Sonia stands up and hugs us. 

"This is brilliant news! Congratulations!" said Sonia. "Thank you, we felt like you needed to know because I may need time off if Beth's morning sickness is too much or scans" I said, nodding. "Of course, any time you have a scan just tell me and you can have the morning or afternoon off" said Sonia, nodding. We smile and head home. 

We bring Myle for a walk and sit on the bench. "I want to tell people after our 12 week scan, just to be safe" said Beth, looking at me. "I agree. It's the best idea" I said. "I know it will be hard though" said Beth. "It will but so worth it" I said, smiling. I pull Beth in for a kiss. 

"Let's head home, feed our fur baby and then feed ourselves and our bubba" I said, kissing Beth again. We walk home and feed Myle. I begin to cook burgers and chips while Beth watches. "I love watching you cook" said Beth, smirking. "Sure you do" I said, smiling. 

Once I plate it, we dig in. "I can't wait to tell people, can you imagine their reactions to our news" said Beth, smiling. "Same, they will be so shocked" I said, taking a sip of my drink. Beth stands up. "I'll clean up, Vivi" said Beth, nodding. "Beth I don't mind cleaning" I said. "Babe, you've cooked. I want to clean." said Beth, walking over and leaning into kiss me. "Ok, I'll lock up" I said, nodding. Beth nods and I lock up the house.

I sit on the sofa and turn on Arsenal v Chelsea (the men) and Beth joins me. Beth leans against me and smiles. "Mmm I love this" I said, smiling. "Same." said Beth. Once the match is over, Chelsea won 2-0, we head to bed. 

We  pull on our pyjama's and slide under the covers. "Good night, Beth and baby" I said. "Good night Viv" said Beth. We share a kiss before falling asleep.

And they've told Sonia and had their first scan!
