BETH'S POV: 12 WEEK SCAN

Today is my twelve week scan and I'm nervous. I smile and Viv walks in. "I have breakfast ready, you ready?" asked Viv.  I nod, smiling. I follow Viv down and we dig into her breakfast of pancakes and fruit. Once I finish, I go get dressed. I sigh when I pull on jeans that don't button up. I sigh and go find leggings. 

I pull on leggings and an over sized top. I brush my hair and do a braid. I smile and grab my runners. I head downstairs and Viv smiles. "You ready?" asked Viv. "I am, I'm excited" I said. We lock up and head to the car. 

Viv drives to the hospital where we got transferred to and we head inside. We check in and we sit down. Viv places her hand on my bump and smiles. "Mmmm, I love you and the bump" said Viv, smiling. "I know you do, you always touch it" I said, smiling. Viv kisses my head and then we hear my name.

We head into the room and we lie on the table. Katie, our midwife smiles. "You know the drill" said Katie, smiling. I laugh and do it. She squirts the gel on and smiles. "You ready to see your baby?" asked Katie, smiling. "Yes, we are" I said, smiling.

She places the wand on my bump and we hear the heartbeat. "Well, here is the head, arms, legs..... perfectly healthy baby" said Katie. She goes on to explain the heartbeat and then smiles. "When do you know the gender?" asked Viv. "Well, we can usually tell around 14 weeks but mainly we schedule the gender scans for 18 to 21 weeks" said Katie, nodding. "Ok, thank you" said Viv. She prints the pictures and I wipe my bump clean. 

We take the photos and we head home. Once we get home, I lie on the sofa. "Ok, tomorrow we can tell the girls from Chelsea." I said. "Perfect" said Viv. "I've invited Leah, Katie, Lia, Caitlin, Steph and Lotte over for tomorrow evening to tell" I said. "That's good then we can announce on Instagram after they leave" said Viv, nodding. I kiss her. 

We bring Myle for a walk and then we relax for the rest of the night. We enjoy a chicken dinner and watch a random movie in bed. 

NEXT DAY

I wake up to Viv kissing my forehead. "I'm dressed, so I'll make us breakfast while you get ready" said Viv, smiling. "Thanks, Vivi" I said. Viv walks out and I go pull on maternity jeans I bought, an a white top. I pull an over sized jumper. I pull on vans and leave my hair down.

I head downstairs.  We have the porridge and apple juice before we lock up and leave. Once we arrive, we park and head inside. Viv gets changed and I find Sonia to get everyone in the meeting room.

I head inside and sit down. I watch as everyone walks in and settles down. Viv comes beside me and smiles. "So, we've asked you all here is because we have some news" said Viv. They nod. "We told Sonia and Paul we were doing IVF and that I was retiring so I could do it..... so I am happy to tell you all is that I'm 12 weeks pregnant" I said, pulling my jumper off to show my bump.

They scream and LJ comes up. "Can I hug you?" asked LJ, smiling shyly. "Of course" I said. She pulls me in for a hug. "I'm so happy for you, you deserve this, both of you do" said LJ, pulling away to hug Viv. Everyone hugs us. 

"I'm happy for you both, if you need anything, let me know" said Sonia, hugging me. "I will" I said. They head out to train and I stand by the side to watch. I give my input when needed and then we head for lunch. "Go sit down, I'll get you food" said Viv. I just thank her and sit down. LJ walks over with her food and sits beside me.

"So, did you find out the gender?" asked LJ. "Not yet, soon though. We still have to discuss." I said. "Well, they will be loved" said LJ. 

The rest of the time goes smoothly and Viv goes to get ready. Once she comes out ready, we head home to get the place ready for the visitors. Soon we hear a knock on the door.  Leah, Katie, Lia, Caitlin, Steph and Lotte are here. I have my jumper on again and we have our dinner before telling them.

Viv and Lotte clean up. Then they come back in and I stand up beside Viv. "We have some news" I said. "Exciting news" said Viv. "I'm 12 weeks pregnant" I said, smiling. "OH MY GOD" yelled everyone. They hug us and start asking us questions. "How are you feeling?" asked Leah, smiling. "Good, morning sickness was hell but Viv helped me so much." I said, smiling. "Beth's amazing, her body is changing and growing our baby." said Viv, looking at me. 

"What gender do you want?" asked Lotte, looking at us. "We don't care, we just want a healthy baby" I said, smiling. "We don't have a preference" said Viv, smiling. "Your both glowing, it's amazing" said Lia. "Yeah, well we're happy" said Viv.

"So, who's carrying the next one?" asked Katie. "I am. We're taking turns. We're going to wait till this one is 1 before we try. I'll be retiring once we begin it." said Viv. They nod, smiling. They leave at 7 and we go on our phones. "I'm going to share one" I said. "And I'll share one too" said Viv. 

We ring both our parents and siblings and let them know the news. They are so excited and promising to come visit us soon to celebrate properly with us.

I laugh because everyone is so excited. We go pull on our pyjama's and lie in bed. We turn on S.W.A.T and watch one episode before deciding we should go to sleep. I lie on my pregnancy pillow with Viv spooning me from behind. "Good night, lieverd" said Viv, kissing my head. "Goodnight, Vivi" I said. We fall asleep soon after.

And they have told everyone!
