VIV'S POV: Viv's Final Match (2028)
Today is my final match, it's at Stamford Bridge against Manchester City. If we win this, we win the league. I wake up to Beth coming in with Hugo, who is 10 months old. His hair is brown and blue eyes just like me.
"Morning Viv, I have breakfast ready and someone wanted to cuddle you" said Beth, placing Hugo in my arms. "Hi my boy, you sleep good" I said, rubbing my nose against his. He giggles and kisses me. I smile and place him on the bed. I smile and Beth picks him up. I go get ready and follow them downstairs.
I dig in and smile at Hugo eating his. "His getting so big" I said, smiling. "He is, I love this. Our family" said Beth, smiling. "I love you, Beth. You make me so happy" I said, smiling. "You make me happy" said Beth. Beth goes to get Hugo ready and I leave to go to Cobham.
Once we get to Stamford Bridge, we head inside and walk around the pitch. LJ pulls me in for a hug. "I will miss you playing with me but I also know you want to have a baby and now is the time. Thank you for trusting me this" said LJ, hugging me.
"You have helped me since I joined Chelsea, it's only right we trust you" I said, hugging her tight. We head back in to get ready for the warm ups. Once we finish warming up, we head back in. We're facing Man City and we know it's gonna be a tough match.
We head out for the match.
KICK OFF
1' kick off.
10' GOAL! Bunny Shaw scores for Man City. 0-1.
12' GOAL! Vivianne Miedema scores for Chelsea. 1-1. Assisted by Lauren James.
16' GOAL! Vivianne Miedema scores again. 2-1. Assisted by Lauren James.
25' GOAL! Lauren James scores to make it 3-1. Assisted by Vivianne Miedema.
35' PENALTY CHELSEA! Alex Greenwood catches all of Mayra Ramírez and none of the ball. Greenwood gets a yellow.
36' GOAL! Guro Reiten converts her penalty to make it 4-1.
HALF TIME
SECOND HALF BEGINS
55' Free Kick for Chelsea!
56' GOAL! Vivianne Miedema scores the free kick. 5-1.
68' YELLOW CARD for Mary Fowler.
78' GOAL! Lauren James scores to make it 6-1. Assisted by Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd.
89' Second yellow for Alex Greenwood which is a red card. Greenwood is sent off.
90 + 4' FULL TIME
FULL TIME. 6-1. Chelsea win's the WSL again.
I drop to the ground and I feel arms wrap around me. "WE DONE IT!" shouted LJ. I stand up and hug her. We clap for the fans and shake the hands of the Man City players.
Beth and Hugo come over. I hug her and take Hugo. "Hi, my boy. Did you have a good time?" I ask. Hugo jut gurgles. I smile and Beth takes him back. I go get my medal and we do the trophy lift.
I take Hugo again and kiss his forehead. "I love you my boy" I said, kissing his head. Knowing he could have a brother or sister soon enough. I go have a shower and get dressed. I see dad with mum. "Ok, we'll mind Hugo while you two go out celebrating" said dad. "Oh.... sure.... thank you" I said. Beth walks in.
"Thanks for this, guys" said Beth, smiling. They leave with Hugo while we head to the restaurant for dinner before going to the club. We party hard till 1am and then we head home. Me and Beth decided to not drink, we didn't need it.
Once we get home, we celebrate in our own special way before falling asleep.
