I need to go to my acting gig and they are clinging on my leg, not wanting to leave.
"Y/N. I have to go to work", I told them.
"No!", they yelled stubbornly.
"It's a must", I said, trying to make them understand.
"I called your work and told them you're staying home!", Y/N suddenly told me.
"You did what?", I asked them surprised.
"How did you know which number it was?"
"Akane showed me!"
"Of course", I mumbled with a sigh. "Why don't you want me to go to work?"
"Because, it's a secret!", they said.
Seriously. They're getting on my nerves.
"Whatever", I mumbled.
"Let's watch movie!", They said and dragged me to the couch. I sighed and agreed.
Then they chose a random movie.
Surprisingly it was a movie about birthdays.
Now I'm wandering, was it random or intentional.
Soon the movie ended and they told me to rest while they did the housework. They may just have turned four, but they learned how to take care of themselves since I'm almost never around.
Once I came home feeling surprised when I saw them have cleaned the entire house, leaving no trace of dust. It surprised me.
I stayed watching the TV in boredom before getting a call from Ai.

"Yes?", I asked.
"Happy Birthday", she told me happily.
"Thanks, I guess", I mumbled before hanging up.
She called me again, but I blocked her number. I'm still hurt that she had left me.
After some time, Y/N started dropping boxes in front of me.
It confused me until they brought the last box and put it on the coffee table. They then opened the box, revealing a cake that had a color theme of me.

The cake looked amazing. I looked at them.

"I made the cake. Try it!"
I was hesitant, but still tried it. It was delicious.
"Happy Birthday, Papa!", they told me and I smiled.
