I stood Infront of huge luxurious mansion getting a little nervous but consoled myself to just go in, but the guards stop me from going inside.
Guard: "Any specific reason of going inside Miss?"
Hazel: "I'm here for the job as a maid"
Guard: "Okay, you can go in"
He opened the gate for me. I stepped inside taking in the beauty of the mansion. it's maintained really well I thought. A woman in her 40's guided me inside, seeing the posh place I felt insecure of my dressing style which was just a turtleneck black shirt with jeans and boots. A lady in her early 50's is sitting and sipping on her tea in the most expensive cup I ever saw in my whole life.
Lady: "Mam here's the girl for the job"
she saw me from head to toe which made me kind of uncomfortable.
Mrs. Hernandez: "What's your name?"
Hazel: "Hazel...Hazel Miller mam"
she hummed.
Mrs. Hernandez: "What's your age?"
Hazel: "22"
Mrs. Hernandez: "Do you think your capable of working here?"
Hazel: "Yes...since I have no option left but I promise I'll do my work diligently with hard work"
Mrs. Hernandez: "I don't want a single excuse or mistake...you can join from tomorrow"
I nodded feeling happy from the inside that I got the job.
Mrs. Hernandez: "Give her the uniform"
The lady nodded, showing me the way to out on the way she handed me my uniform and said to be here by 7 in the morning. I nodded, thanked her before coming out. I walked happily to my home without the tension of finding a job.
Let me tell you a little about my life. I am Hazel Miller I'm 22 years old I live with my grandma since I have no parents, they got divorced and left me with my grandma it's been years since I last met them. I am not graduated since I don't have enough money for the university fees, but I'm well educated and know the difference between what's wrong and right. After I passed my high school, I started looking for a job to help my grandma as she's starting to get sick and old. After working in numerous cafes, libraries, flower shops I couldn't get much money to survive so I applied to be a maid in the Hernandez Mansion by the saying of few neighbors who also work there for few years. I know that at least by being a maid in such a rich family will help me survive and help me meet by ends.
In a while I reach my home and excitedly went to my grandma hugging her.
Hazel: "I got the job!!"
Grandma: "Really? good job honey"
she hugged me back, kissing my forehead.
Hazel: "No need of taking stress I'll take care of you"
she nodded with moist eyes.
Grandma: "You're a blessing in my cursed life"
Hazel: "Don't say that you're not cursed your just old now"
she chuckled while nodding. Later I made some good dinner for us to enjoy.
Next Day
I woke up at 5:30 took a bath before making some breakfast for my grandma, eating some as well before wearing my dress doing little makeup like - mascara, blush and lip tint with a good floral perfume. I also wore a fleece legging my hair tied up in a ponytail with some hair strands falling on my face. I didn't wear any kind of jewelry just pearl studs, for footwear I wore a simple black low heel. I wished my grandma goodbye before walking out. I took a 30-minute bus ride then reached the mansion.

The guard opened the small gate for me I thanked him before coming in. I went inside the lady from earlier started telling me what work I need to do.
Lady: "I'm Amanda I'll be assisting you; you need to be here by 7 daily. your work is to clean the garden, water the plants, help the other maids in preparing breakfast also sweep the floor then do the laundry"
Hazel: "Okay I'll do all of these"
Lady: "If there's extra work, I'll call you"
I nodded. No sooner than I began to work the first thing which I did was clean the garden. I brushed off all the dry, fallen leaves before trimming the plants then water them along with the flowers.
An Hour Later:
I was told to give tea to Mr. Hernandez I thought it's Mrs. Hernandez husband, so I walked up the stairs to give him his coffee. I turned left then walked straight I saw his room which is at the last I knocked on the door.
