Authors Pov: 

Today is Daniels birthday. Hustle & bustle was going on inside the mansion as everyone were moving around for the preparations, many famous people like actors, businessmen, sports players were invited. Honestly Daniel didn't like this day because it was always some lavish, expensive party instead of a normal simple one. His motto was that he wanted to celebrate his birthday with the people who actually cared and truly loved him, but his parents had other plans and never tried to understand it. 

Daniels Pov:

After having shower, I sat on the couch opposite to my bed with my laptop open I had to respond to an email whose due date is today so I moved my fingers quickly to type. A while later I looked at the time showing 8:30 I have 30 minutes left to go to work and I needed to have breakfast as I'm damn hungry, so I grabbed my phone and called the staff.

Daniel: "Send me my breakfast and coffee soon"

I said and ended the call.

Hazels Pov:

I was helping in the decorations when Lilly pulled me out of there.

Hazel: "What are you doing?"

Lilly: "Leave this work and go give Daniel sir his breakfast"

She handed me a tray which had 2 sandwiches and a cup of black coffee.

Hazel: "But why me?"

She sighed.

Lilly: "Girl don't be so dumb I know you like him so I'm just giving you a chance to have a moment with him and since it's his bday today so go and wish him"

She pushed me out of the kitchen. I chuckled at her.

Hazel: "Thank you & I love you"

Lilly: "Yeah yeah everyone loves Lilly Jameson"

I laughed at her sassy attitude before walking upstairs to Daniel sir's room. I knocked on the door and went in when I heard him say 'come in' in his usual cold voice

Hazel: "Good morning, sir, here's your breakfast!"

I placed the plate & coffee cup on the table. I knew he was staring at my face which made my cheeks go pink, but I tried to control.

Daniel: "Thank you Hazel"

I smiled before saying.

Hazel: "Happy birthday sir, have a great day!"

I said cheerfully with the biggest genuine smile on my face. He smiled back which made my heart flutter.

Daniel: "Thank you so much Hazel"

We just stared into each other's eyes for a while before I broke the eye contact.

Hazel: "I-I... I'll go uh... Downstairs I have work"

He nodded. I bowed a little and went outside then smiled like crazy to myself. 

Lilly: "Girl you're a blushing mess!!" 

I chuckled. 

Lilly: "what happened between you two?"

she asked being excited. 

Hazel: "Nothing...I-I just wished him then we stared into each other's smiling" 

Lilly: "aww" 

she hugged me I chuckled and hugged her back. 

LATER: 

Everyone was almost done with the decorations Mr. Hernandez came to re-check our work. I cleaned the kitchens countertop when I was done Lilly came beside me hitting my shoulder with hers. 

Lilly: "Are you done?" 

I nodded. 

Lilly: "Let's go change our clothes" 

Hazel: "Do we need to wear something else or this?" 

Lilly: "Of course we are going to wear our uniform only" 

I sighed and nodded we started walking towards our room. 

Hazel: "I'm nervous" 

Lilly: "Why?" 

Hazel: "So many people are coming what if I mess up?" 

Lilly: "You won't but I suggest you one thing don't talk to anyone unless required because those people are bloody rude & perverts" 

Hazel: "Oh really? what happened?" 

Lilly: "They try to lure you with money so that they can sleep with you" 

She said while wearing her uniform. I was kind of shocked when I heard it. 

Hazel: "Did it anytime happen with you?" 

Lilly: "Yeah once when I newly joined here it was Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez anniversary, they threw a huge party so that time a man of Mr. Hernandez's age tried to hit on me, he gave me a huge amount of money, but I declined he forced me, but I went away and never came back till the party ended" 

Hazel: "Don't Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez do something about it?" 

Lilly: "why would they? they just care if the work is done and perfect" 

she said and rolled her eyes. I made a mental note to not speak with anyone and just do my work and leave. 

Lilly: "Let's go" 

We got ready in our new uniforms with some makeup on and left. We reached the mansion I was mesmerized by the elegant choice of decoration.

Many people started arriving. Few of us stood near the entrance and welcomed them with by handing a rose with smile while saying welcome. Soft background music started playing Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez were dressed up elegantly they were greeting the guests saying them 'thank you for coming' I saw Daniel sir's friend coming too. I felt anger and fear when I saw Robert he was with a new girl this time. He saw me and passed a dirty smirk, but I ignored him and started to serve drinks.
