Continuation of previous chapter: 

I walked back inside the bedroom. I looked at Hazel who is comfortably sleeping I slightly smiled seeing her then I too laid down on the bed facing her. She moved in her sleep, so I took it as a chance and pulled her closer to me. She wrapped her hands around me, resting her face in my neck. I wrapped my hands around her shoulder holding her close to me. I kissed her forehead closing my eyes and sleeping more comfortably. 

NEXT MORNING 

Hazels Pov: 

My eyes opened and I got up from my sleep. I looked at my right to see Daniel sleeping peacefully I smiled while looking at him. He looks so peaceful while sleeping I thought. I checked the time it's 7 in the morning and still foggy outside with everything covered in snow. I thought of getting up and getting ready for the day. I did my morning routine then came to the living room. As soon I got there, I felt sad remembering my grandmother is no more. Those times when she used to sit patiently waiting for me to make her favorite tea with cookies, our silly talks, hugs, her hand cooked food. My eyes moist thinking of her I controlled myself. Please God wherever she is keep her happy, she's the nicest person I know she's the one who took care of me and brought me up when my own parents disowned me. I took a moment to compose myself before walking into the kitchen for making breakfast. I heated the banana bread then made 2 cups of coffee with fruit salad. 

Daniels Pov: 

My eyes opened I stretched out my hands and looked at my left, but Hazel was not found. I got up then went to get freshen. When I came out, I saw Hazel in the kitchen making breakfast her back was facing me. I smiled seeing her. A random thought came in my mind maybe in another universe someday if I'm married to her, she will cook me breakfast like this with a chilly weather outside and juts the both of us in the house. I didn't realize when she called me. 

Daniel: "Yeah Good morning" 

Hazel: "Breakfast is ready" 

I nodded and went to sit on the chair. We ate our food in silence. Breakfast like these are so comforting. 

Hazel: "I'm sorry for this breakfast actually I-I ran out of grocery" 

Daniel: "No it's all okay! I actually like this kind of breakfast not heavy ones" 

I smiled at her. She smiled back. After eating she cleaned the table while I went to attend a business call. 

Daniel: "Shall we leave Hazel?" 

she nodded, zipping up her bag in which she dumped all her essentials. I took her bag loading it in the back of my car when her landlord came. 

LL: "Hi Hazel! I heard about your grandmother, I'm so sorry for your loss" 

Hazel: "It's fine Mr. Brown" 

she softly smiled at him. They spoke for a minute before she got in the car beside me, I started driving while she looked at her home for the last time as she's not going to come here anymore. I placed my hand on hers giving it a reassuring squeeze, she smiled slightly at me. 

Daniel: "I know it's hard for you, but you need to move and start fresh with a happy beginning" 

She nodded. I smiled to myself. Then in a while we reached the mansion, I escorted her to the maid's quarter and informed the head maid about Hazel staying here. 

HM: "Sir all rooms are occupied but Lilly can have a roommate"  

Daniel: "Great! since Hazel & Lilly are friends, they can stay with each other" 

Lilly: "Sure sir I'm absolutely fine with it" 

Daniel: "Cool! Hazel?" 

Hazel: "I'm fine with-it sir" 

Daniel: "Good! you can always tell me if there's a problem" 

she nodded. After everything was settled, I walked out to go to the mansion, but I heard Hazel calling me from behind I turned around to see her. 

Daniel: "Yes Hazel?" 

Hazel: "I-I wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for me ...Thank you so much sir" 

I smiled softly at her. 

Daniel: "It's okay Hazel" 

She smiled back at me. We just stood there looking into each other's eyes when Lilly called her, and she had to go. I turned around and started walking while smiling to myself. This girl is really something. 

Hazels Pov: 

I walked to my new room with Lilly. It was not very small but enough for the 2 of us. It had two separate beds with cupboards and a window near my bed with a pretty view also a washroom with bathtub. 

Lilly: "I got to know about your grandma from the head maid" 

I hummed in response immediately turning sad, but she hugged me rubbing my back.

Lilly: "It's okay don't lose hope...I'm always here for you along with your Daniel sir"

she chuckled while I blushed a little. We broke the hug, and she looked at me with a teasing smile. 

Lilly: "You like him?" 

 I thought for a while thinking of all those times, we spent together then nodded with a smile on my face. 

 Hazel: "I like him" 

Lilly squeaked and hugged me. I chuckled. 

Lilly: "so it's Daniel sir not Jake I see" 

I laughed and hit her arm lightly. 

Hazel: "Stop it now! I haven't said it to anyone but you" 

Lilly: "Okay okay it's our little secret" 

We linked our pinkies together.
