Hazels Pov: 

At the mention of Daniel sir's marriage with Emma mam caused a pain in my heart, my heart slightly cracked from the inside. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I can't stop myself it's too late now. I saw the expression on his face I wish he doesn't marry her I'm thinking as if I have a chance but that 1% of hope. He walked away leaving his parents disappointed. I sighed going back inside the kitchen deep in my thoughts. Will I even be able to tell him the way I feel about him? does he feel the same way? or is it just me? 100's of questions roamed in my head but I didn't have a single answer.  

Few Days Later: 

Daniels Pov: 

I was just in my office working I took a 5-minute break and swinged my chair facing towards the huge glass window in my office it showed off the beautiful view of the city. The sun was starting to set making it even more beautiful while I was in my thoughts Hazel's face came into my mind, she's so beautiful so innocent so my type of a girl. I didn't know I could fall for a girl like Hazel not a bad comment she's just too different from the girls I have met in the past. I sighed and leaned my head back on the chair I just want to tell her how much I like her how I just want to scoop her in my arms kiss her and never let her go. It may be wrong for me to fall in love with my maid but it's too late to back off from my feelings, but a question always pops in my head does she feel the way I do for her? does she even like me? does she see something what I see for us together? I remembered the locket then held it in my fingers I smiled seeing the locket but again my mind drifted towards my mom's words about Emma. She's a really nice girl but I just don't love her I have only seen her as my friend since so many years that is why I never have been romantic with her, never gave her fake hopes. I don't want to marry her for the sake of my parents and spoil her life she deserves someone else who truly loves her not me. 

Daniel: "I should head home" 

I said to myself after looking at the time it's 6:08 I grabbed my coat and car keys before leaving my cabin on the way I just informed my receptionist before sitting the car and driving off. The cool breeze hit my face making me clam I played jazz in the background humming to it. In a while I reached home, parked my car and entered inside. My eyes searched for Hazel where is she? I went to my bedroom on the way I bumped into her. 

Daniel: "Hey!" 

Hazel: "H-hi" 

She was a bit shocked after seeing me I could tell it by seeing her face. 

Hazel: "Your bath is ready" 

I nodded staring into her eyes. 

Hazel: "I-I have to go downstairs" 

She said nervously I smirked slightly before nodding, she quickly walked down. I chuckled to myself, entering my room the sweet fragrance of the Vanilla candle hit me making me relax instantly Hazel knows me too well, I guess? I took a nice warm shower, wearing grey sweatpants with white t-shirt. I then walked down for having coffee. I saw my parents sitting having a conversation I thought of joining them. 

Daniel: "Hey mom dad!" 

I sat opposite them. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Hey honey! how was your day?" 

Daniel: "Good! the usual you know" 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Great! would you like coffee or tea?" 

Daniel: "Coffee would do" 

She nodded and called out Hazel, she came made a few seconds of eye contact with me before listening to my mom. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Make 2 cups of tea and 1 cup of coffee" 

Hazel: "Yes mam" 

She bowed her head down and went away. I stared at her figure drowning into her. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Daniel? Daniel?" 

I snapped out of my thoughts looking at her. 

Daniel: "Y-yes mom?" 

Mrs. Hernandez: "You seem lost dear, is everything okay?" 

Daniel: "Yeah I-I'm fine mom" 

Mr. Hernandez: "Buddy me and your mom want to talk with you about something very important" 

Daniel: "Yeah, what is it?" 

Mr. Hernandez: "It's about Emma and your marriage" 

I sighed annoyed. 

Daniel: "Dad please not now" 

Mr. Hernandez: "It's the only time I get to spend with my son" 

Daniel: "We can talk about other things too" 

Mr. Hernandez: "But I prefer to talk about this" 

Daniel: "And I do not" 

I got up ready to walk away but my dad told me to sit again so I rolled my eyes sitting back down. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "You can't behave like this Daniel we are your parents" 

Daniel: "Mom I'm 30 now not 3 years old I can choice my own life partner" 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Come on tell me who do you like?" 

I sealed my mouth when she asked that question words couldn't come out. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "You don't like any girl, and you are not letting me choose one for you" 

Author's Pov: 

Hazel came with the tea tray in her hands she reached the table and bent down to keep the tray. She poured hot water in the cups then tea bags before adding milk and just a spoon of sugar, while she was making their tea, she heard Mrs. Hernandez say something which made her heart break into pieces.
