Continuation of Previous Chapter: 

Authors Pov: 

Emma along with her parents entered inside. Daniels parents went to greet them. Mrs. Hernandez hugged Emma & her mom thanking them for coming. 

Emma: "Aunty where's Daniel?" 

Mrs. Hernandez: "He must be coming sweetie" 

that's when Daniel walked down the stairs looking handsome as usual. All eyes were on him, but he was unbothered by the attention as he is used to it. Hazels eyes widen when she saw him, she fell more for him when she saw him. He looked bloody handsome is what she thought. His tall figure, his muscular body hugged the expensive suit he was wearing very well.   

He smiled a little towards his parents walking towards them. 

Daniel: "Hello" 

He said in his deep cold voice. 

Mr. Jordan: "Hello young man! you look absolutely handsome! Happy birthday" 

Daniel: "Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Jordan" 

He thanked Emma's parents with a small smile. Emma walked to his side hugging him, he awkwardly hugged her back. 

Emma: "Happy Birthday Daniel!!" 

Daniel: "Thank you Emma" 

He smiled a little. 

Mrs. Hernandez: "Daniel you should go greet your guests with Emma" 

He nodded; Emma linked her arm around his. They walked ahead stopping every now and then. Suddenly his eye met Hazels he looked at her and smiled softly, she smiled back then broke the eye contact to concentrate on her work. He stood opposite to her from a not very far distance while having conversation with his business partners. 

Hazels Pov: 

When my eyes met with his I felt butterflies in my stomach. My heart skips a beat every time I see him, I don't know whether I'm allowed to feel this way but It's too late to control myself. I let my thoughts slide before continuing my work. I re-filled the glasses back on my tray going around serving it to everyone. I got near a man. 

Hazel: "Sir" 

I called him out gently he looked up from his phone staring in my eyes. I forwarded the tray, and he picked the wine glass I was about to go back when he held my wrist. 

Hazel: "Do you need anything sir?" 

??: "Yeah, I need your number" 

Hazel: "N-no sir I'm not allowed to share my personal information"

I was about to walk again but he didn't let me. 

??: "why not? look I'll pay you 10 times more than what you're getting here"  

is he crazy or something. 

Hazel: "No I don't need your offer" 

I politely declined but this man wasn't listening to me at all it's like arguing with a wall. 

Daniels Pov: 

I was speaking with Emma when I noticed Hazel looking uncomfortable while speaking to a guy. I saw the way she was about to go but he wasn't letting her go. I frowned my eyebrows wanting to help her, so I excused myself going to her. 

Daniel: "Any problem Hazel?" 

I asked keeping my hand on her back. She looked at me then back at that black haired guy with worry and fear. 

Hazel: "H-he-" 

But he cut her off. 

??: "I was just asking for her number" 

Daniel: "Is she willing to give you, her number?" 

I asked coldly even though from inside I was feeling jealous and angry I just wanted to slap this man in front of me. 

??: "That's the problem" 

Daniel: "what's your name?" 

??: "James" 

Daniel: "James it would be really nice of you if you don't trouble my staff and make them uncomfortable" 

I said in a serious tone while staring into his eyes. He looked to me then back at Hazel before nodding in fear. 

James: "I-I'm sorry" 

He went away scared. I sighed and looked at Hazel she seemed a little scared of course she would be. 

Daniel: "Hazel it's fine now he's gone..relax" 

She nodded then smiled a little. 

Hazel: "I-...I uh I'll go do my work" 

I nodded letting her go she went away I once again sighed. Men really throw themselves at any girl they see its irritating. I let my thoughts aside and walked ahead to greet the others. In a while it was cake cutting that is the moment where I felt embarrassed as hell. It was like I'm a 5-year-old toddler celebrating with so many people singing for me. I asked everyone not to sing and just cut the cake then fed a piece to my mom dad. Everyone clapped and cheered I smiled awkwardly. Emma came forward feeding me a piece of cake. 

Daniel: "Thank you" 

I wiped my lips while smiling a little. Later after cake cutting everyone walked to the dining hall for having dinner. 

Hazels Pov: 

I was in the kitchen setting the cutlery when I felt someone stood beside me, I looked up to see Jake. 

Hazel: "Hey!" 

Jake: "Hi! how are you? you know how much I've missed you" 

He pulled me into a huge bear hug. I chuckled with flushed cheeks hugging him back. 

Hazel: "I'm good, how are you?" 

Jake: "I'm good now that I saw you" 

I laughed along with him. 

Hazel: "You should go to the dining room I'm too coming there in a minute" 

He nodded looking into my eyes. 

Hazel: "Bye!" 

I awkwardly waved at him, he chuckled and turned to leave. After he left, along with Lilly I went and arranged the cutlery on the table along with the huge off-white plates. We served everyone and stood back while the sounds of cutlery, talking, laughing, clinking of glasses was heard. Mr. Hernandez also did a toast for his son.
