Sam Carpenter comes into town, hearing of her sister's attack, instantly blaming herself. When she meets Y/n, she makes it very clear straight away she's at the top of her suspect list.
Y/n doesn't get along with Sam for this. They argue a lot. But...

Y/n's POV:
"What the hell...?" I heard Anika say from the living room, "guys you're gonna wanna see this!" She called out, we frowned and all walked over to look, she unmuted the TV, which showed the same reporter as before in front of Jason's building. The sound crashing in, "...that the prime suspect is none other than Samantha Carpenter, one of the survivors of the Woodsboro killings in 2022, seen here attacking a woman on the street last night" the reporter said, It cut to the clip of Sam getting soda thrown on her again, "Murderer!" The woman yelled.
Sam turned off the TV. The mood ruined. She went to the table and sat down, we all debated joining her or not. Tara and I shared a look and nodded in understanding. We got up and joined Sam,
"I know that you're not a fan of the way I've been handling things, and that I've been giving you a really hard time...but I can say that none of us can relate to what you are experiencing and I'm really really sorry that you have to do that alone" Tara said, "It's not your fault...I know I shouldn't care what people think. But it's hard to be this hated" she said, I frowned, and sat down next to her, taking her hand in mine, Chad and Mindy came over too.
"Hey hey - just to remind you, nobody in this room hates you. We're all fucked up about what happened and we're coping in different ways. But there's a reason we all moved out here together. We're a team" he said, I smiled and nodded, "Yeah we are the Core Fucking Five" Mindy said, Chad grinned and high five her "See now that's what I'm talking about" "God I hate myself" she said, I laughed and nodded.
"Can't believe you just said that" I joked, we laughed, "Say it" Mindy said to Tara, "No I'm not gonna say it no no..." she said, we all tried to get her to say it, "Come on say it!" Chad said, laughing.
"I mean yes we're a team but.." she laughed, "Come on!" Mindy exclaimed. It goes quiet for a bit, "I've been sleeping with the cute boy from across the hall" Sam said.
I felt my heart ache slightly, it went quiet, "Boom!" Mindy exclaimed, slapping the table, "I fucking knew it!" Tara yelled, clapping her hands together as they all laughed. Sam turned to me, "I'm sorry Y/n...about the things I said, I didn't mean it I was just stressed out and-" I cut her off, "Don't be sorry...I'm not in the right mind set for dating anyway...I couldn't expect you to wait forever, im happy for you" I said honestly. Of course I was happy that she was happy. I'd just rather it was with me.
Sam nodded and before I knew it her arms were around me, hugging me tight. I chuckled and hugged her back, "Awww!" Mindy awed, we laughed, I looked down for a bit before looking back, Tara gave me a sympathetic smile; I smiled back at her and joined back in the conversation.
"If we're admitting things then I think this is a good time to say...im the one who ate the cake..." I said, referencing back to a couple of months ago. Sam bought a cake and I ate it all in one night, nobody knew where it went.
