11- Finally Friends(?)

Third person Pov:

Danielle saw Haerin studying and took it as her chance to go ask her for the millionth time to be friends, she wasn't with her friends currently so it won't count as ditching.

She fast walked to her although she didn't need to rush in a library. She finally reached her.

"Hey! Can we please be friends?" Danielle said almost loudly causing the librarian telling her to quiet down.

"For the last ti-"

"I won't annoy you?" Danielle said in a doubtful voice with a pleading face. cutting off Haerin knowing what she would say.

Haerin sighed massaging her wrist then turned head to face Danielle just to find her face inches away from hers.

Her eyes widened slightly as she leaned back slightly her cheeks reddening without her noticing and neither did Danielle. "Fine." Haerin said hesitantly. She doesn't want to get herself into anything dramatic yet she may be.

Danielle squealed silently celebrating. "Now please leave me alone." Danielle's joy quickly died down from Haerins ignorance on her presence. 'Am I really annoying to her?' She thought with a frown.

Danielle sighed to herself. Haerin spared her a glance which Danielle noticed at the corner of her eye, she looked back at Haerin leaving them to hold eye contact for how long.

Danielle was getting slightly uncomfortable with her eyes, they just looked like there was pure ignorance stored in there specifically for her.

Someone's sneeze throughout the room snapped them back to reality amd Haerin quickly went back to reading as if nothing happened.

Danielle started walking away questioning what even happened between them, the silence was killing her.

Danielle went to the cafeteria table arriving slightly later than the others. She found Hanni and Hyein debating whether the chicken or egg came first and Hyein was starting to get convinced by Hanni.

They all made up a few days after the argument happened, but for Danielle, it just seemed like Haerin had guttural hate for them. Over the past few days Minji seemed to notice Danielle focusing on Haerin more and more.

"Hello!" Minji greeted Danielle cheerfully. "Hey.." Danielle greeted her back but she sounded gloomy and Minji noticed that.

"What happened? You sound upset." She asked worried while Hanni and Hyein could be heard in the background, it somehow resulted to one of their fights somehow the topic changing to roblox. Which none of them have a clue about but they didn't mind, they just wanted to be chatterboxes.

"Eh nothing, just Haerin being annoyed with my mere presence." Danielle said as she watched the two finally agreeing then giving eachother a handshake as if their ceos agreeing on a partnership.

The whole friend group isnt near serious

"I noticed nowadays you've been near Haerin all of the time, can I ask why?" Minji asked curious. "I have no idea either." Danielle questioned herself.

"Maybe you like her or some sort?" Minji hypothesised which caused Danielle to cough out of no where, she isn't sure about what she thinks of Haerin but she likes to believe Minjis question Is a no

"Ofcourse not! She definitely hates me, she'd probably kill me if she was asked to!" Danielle said in one breathe, she didn't even know why she rushed her answer.

"I see.." Minji said with a smile at Danielle's reaction. "Yah! you dogshit! Don't ever say that!" Hanni said pushing Hyein away who had a smirk. Hannis cheeks were visibly red at her remark.

"What did she say?" Danielle asked confused. "Just asking if she liked a specific person!" Hyein said cheerfully her eyes specifically glancing at Minji. Minji's cheeks slightly reddened understanding what Hyein meant.

"Hyein you don't randomly ask that!" Minji scolded her while Hyeins smirk widened slightly getting both Hanni and Minji blushing messes.

"Are you guys related to tomatoes?" Hyein asked sarcastically. "No, you know what you did! You don't randomly do that Hyein!" Hanni defended.

"Really? Because you're literally a blushing mess. Might as well have tomatoes in ur genes." Hyein said proudly, until the short iphone smacked her head.

"That hurts!" "Well you shouldn't be calling me gay next time!" "Bananas are straighter than you'll ever be!" Hyein said before getting another smack.

"Ok you idiots stop fighting.." Danielle intervened stopping the two before they start a nuke war on eachother.

"Well tell Hyein to stop assuming!" "I'm stating facts you short croissant!" "What does that even mean!?" "I don't know! Maybe something stupid fits you!" Hyein said.

Danielle sighed. Before stopping the two again. "Maybe you two need to like social distance from eachother at this point." Minji joined which caused Danielle to nod agreeing with her.

Danielle noticed someone sitting under a tree, she squinted her eyes and it was (her future lover) Haerin casually reading a book.

'Is she magnetised to books?' Danielle thought, she didn't realise how long she was staring at Haerin until Haerin looked up to find her staring at her.

Danielle smiled and started fast walking to her. "Dani? Where are-" Minji was talking to her but Danielle was too busy technically running to Haerin.

'Oh my god. I cannot have peace.' Haerin thought when she realised Danielle was coming her way.

"Hi newfound friend!" Danielle greeted her sitting down next to her. "Hi." Haerin said, she isn't the type to hold a conversation but she had to bare with it.

"How are you?" "You asked me that like five times today." "Maybe your mood changed overtime?" Danielle said, she really was interested in Haerin for some reason.

"Well I'm doing decent." She replied. "I'm doing good!" Danielle smiled. "I don't recall asking but okay." "That's kind of rude.." Danielle frowned.

Haerin looked at her once again her eyes leaving the book. "Why are you here?" Haerin said her tone a bit lower. "Huh?"

"Why are you here? You were just with the three over there." Haerin said a bit louder. Danielle shrugged, she didn't know what she was doing here either.

"I wanna know you more I guess." Danielle said looking back at Haerin. Danielle smiled which Haerin caught but she shifted her gaze to the sky.

'I wanna know why you keep chasing or following me.' Haerin frowned in her inner thoughts.

"Anyways can I read with you?" Danielle asked the smile still on her face. "Will you stay quiet?" Haerin returned the question her expression still unreadable.

Danielle nodded and Haerin moved the book more to her side. They both were reading the book their attention and focus were on the book.

With the trio on the other hand..

They were staring at them both from afar, except Hyeins jaw dropped lower than the Pacific ocean.

"Are they together?" Hanni asked, "Definetly not.. Dani complained to me about her." Minji answered.

"What... the... fuck!?" Hyein said still not believing the sight infront of her. "Since when were they so clingy with eachother?? I swear my sister hated her guts.." Hyein added and Minji nodded.

"Maybe secret love! Could be possible you know!" Hanni said thinking of a novel she read.

"Hanni that's enough reading for you!" Both Hyein and Minji said at the same time not believing Hannis delusions.
