"Your Highness, it's nice to see you again!"

"Your Highness, have you been well?"

Caelias answered and greeted them as best and politely as he could. After he escaped the nobles he took a deep breath.

"Congrats, you finally escaped" Jake teased as he took a sip of wine in his hand, amused seeing Caelias suffer in the hands of the nobles who tried getting on his good side.

"Don't tease me now, this party is already dreadful" Caelias groaned as he leaned his back on the wall.

"Not quite" Jake responded as he swirled the wine around his cup.

"For you at least, the lady you have your eyes on is here" Caelias rolled his eyes as he took a glass of wine from a passing butler.

"I know right? It's great, unlike yours, she's in another country" Jake chuckled, he enjoyed teasing Caelias a lot.

"Her going to Bisoplain is for the better for now...it's less risky there since Leni can't use black magic there because of the magic barriers of Bisoplain" Caelias crossed his arms.

"Yeah, she's safe from her stepmother, but not the people of Bisoplain...like...His Highness, The Crown Prince Oscar" Jake smirked.

"Do you have a death wish?" Caelias glared at Jake, not amused by his teasing. He was already anxious upon hearing Aderi meet Oscar.

What if she falls for him? What if he made a move on her?

"Why can't you just teleport me to her just for a few minutes, you can use magic..." Caelias continued to glare at Jake who was grinning ear to ear.

"I made a promise to her, she doesn't want you abandoning your work, she knows you quite well" Jake chuckled.

"I wish days were faster to pass by" Caelias sighed as he pushed off the wall to keep talking to the nobles, it was his job after all.

"Ah, Duke Callista, are you enjoying yourself?" Caelias greeted upon seeing Thomas.

"Ah, greetings to the future sun of the empire" Thomas greeted back.

"I hope you are doing well, Your Grace" Caelias smiled.

"I am, and looking at you, Your Highness, I assume you are doing well as well" Thomas took a sip of his wine.

"Ah yes..." Caelias agreed, it was the opposite since a certain someone's daughter was on vacation.

He observed the duke, usually, she would be standing next to his father.

"You kept staring at me, Your Highness, do you have something to say to me?" Thomas asked with a suspicious gaze.

"Ah...no, I was merely lost in thought, well then, Your Grace, enjoy the banquet" Caelias smiled before walking away.

"Lady Duncan, what a pleasant surprise, you look dashing" One of the ladies greeted.

"Ah, thank you m'lady, you too look dashing" Ari softly smiled back.

"You seem quite lonely without her ladyship..."

"Ah yes, I'm glad she is doing well in Bisoplain, I just received her letter just this morning" Ari was as cheerful as ever talking about her dearest friend.

"Ah...I see"

"Talking about Lady Callista, I assume?" One of the male nobles asked

"Yes," Ari responded simply.
