Chapter 40 - Invitation

Aiah's POV

Natapos narin ako mag ligpit at tinawag ko si Mikha, I did not hear anything from her. I saw her dozing off on the couch, ayaw ko na siyang gisingin dahil alam ko namang pagod siya dahil sa biyahe. I got her a blanket and pillow from my room at dahan dahan ko lang nilagay sa kanya.

I stared at her for a moment, shux napaka pogandang nilalang. I wanted to undress her soul, to know every bit of her being.

Pumasok narin ako sa kwarto dahil nakaramdam narin ako ng antok. I texted my mom since medyo late na para tawagan ko siya, nag update lang at nangamusta.

Nagising ako ng tumunog ang phone ko it's mom tumatawag ng 6am. "Good morning anak, why are you still asleep? Gising na Sunday ngayon service day! Wag kalimutang mag breakfast bago pumunta ng simbahan ha. I love you! I know it's Sunday and my mom doesn't know that I skipped a lot of church days na at siyempre wala akong balak sabihin yun.

"Hello ma!! I didn't forgot about today ma. Ingat po kayo ha, send my regards to pastor Ricky. San po si dad? Paki sabi miss ko na kayong lahat and I love you too!!

Mom bid goodbye since early pa yung service it will start at 8am. I just missed them so much kung may free time, uuwi ako ng Cebu agad.

I almost forgot about Mikha, she's on the couch pala. I went to the living room to check on her. She's still sleeping like a kid. I slowly went to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast, just a simple Filipino breakfast with coffee sana magustuhan to ni Mikha.

"Hmmm smells good here, sinangag pala, good morning Aiah! Nagulat ako ng biglang may nagsalita sa likuran ko, Mikha's awake na pala. "Do you like this kind of breakfast? Baka more western type yung gusto mo, rice is life ako eh.

"Ako din noh, rice is life. I love it Aiah thanks. Lalo na ikaw pa nag handa ng lahat" Mikha and her words ayan na naman siya sa pagka bolera niya.

I served cornsilog with instant coffee. "Hope you enjoy what I prepared Mikhs. Kain kana" Napangiti nalang ako sa ginawa niya sinandukan ba naman ako ng sinangag sa plato, this girl for sure is my weakness ang sweet ba naman.

"Stop staring Aiah, nakakahiya tuloy baka matunaw ako niyan. Sige ka baka ma fall ako sa mga titig na yan!!

"Siraulo ka!!

"Slowly Mikha, para ka namang patay gutom!!

"Yeah, I'm so hungry na eh. Pasensya kana pala sa abala dito pa ako nakatulog.

"I understand, you're tired. Thank you for making things clear kahapon I appreciate it.

"Anything for you Aiah.

Time Skip!!

We're done with breakfast, I told Mikha to rest on the couch and I will do the dishes.

I heard loud knocks on the door and I'm not expecting anyone today. Mikha ran towards the door and opened it.
She greeted the guests who came too early in the morning.

"Hello po good morning!! Ate Aiah you did not inform us na may bisita ka pala. I saw Sheena's teasing look dumating pala ang mga damuho.

"That's why you're too quiet pala ha, ni seen sa gc natin wala, kasi may pinag kaka abalahan ka pala!! We brought desserts let's dig in.

These girls, I saw Colet smirked at me. I know what's on her mind, puro kalaswaan for sure.

Mikha explained to the girls what happened, our trip at the cemetery at kung pano siya napadpad dito. Colet handed us the desserts and Mikha gladly accepted it.

"Thank you for everything Aiah, sa inyo din Colet and Sheena. By the way I need to go, masyado ko na kayong na aabala. By the way free ba kayo this Friday? May bago kasi akong piece na e lalaunch sa gallery why don't you come?

"Sure Mikha punta kami, free kami. Diba ate Aiah!! Pukinginang mga kaibigan to nagsabay pa talaga sila.
