Chapter 41 - Masterpiece

Mikha's POV

It's Friday, my new artwork's launching day. My family will be here, my friends as well. Sana maka punta si Aiah siya pa naman ang inspirasyon ko today.

Stacey and the team worked really hard, Gwen and Maloi brought desserts from the coffee shop, I'm overwhelmed by everyone's effort and support today.

Kinakabahan ako feels like the first time, ilang beses na ako nag launch ng gawa ko pero this time it's different.

I saw my parents, I kissed mom and dad. I'm always grateful for their love and support.

"Mom san po sila kuya? Are they coming? Buti narin kung hindi baka asarin lang nila ako.

"Your kuya Jerald will be here pero ang dalawang kuya mo out of town sila ngayon may business trip!!

Ang pinaka asungot pa sa lahat ang dadalo dito. For sure he'll tease me hanggang mapahiya ako at mapikon.

"Mom, Dad may ipapakilala ako sa inyo mamaya ha, she's the inspiration behind all of this. Sana makapunta siya"

"In love naba ulit ang unica ija ko? My dad smiled at me, I can see in his eyes that he is happy for me.

I saw Colet walk through the door, my heart beats so fast when I saw Sheena and Aiah they're walking towards my direction.

Sheena handed me a bouquet of red roses and white carnation. "For you po actually galing po kay Ate Aiah yan ako lang nag abot nahihiya daw siya!!

"Thank you, that's so thoughtful of you naman Aiah!!

"You're always welcome Mikha, congratulations and I'm thrilled for this masterpiece of yours.

I introduced them to my parents as my special guests for today. Nanukso pa si dad kung sino daw yung inspirasyon ko sa kanilang tatlo.

"Ayy naku sir hindi kami yun, mga kaibigan po kami. Here po si ate Aiah yata ang tinutukoy niyo".
Aiah blushed, she greeted my parents and I know mom likes here already.

"You look gorgeous ija, kaya pala inspired tong bunso namin" Humirit pa si mom.

"Sis, what did I miss? Kuya arrived, he greeted mom and dad at nag beso din sakin. Andito na ang mapang asar. "Well, your sister introduced us to these lovely ladies".

"Ooohhh they're lovely, taken naba kayo lahat?

"Kuya cut it out, mga bisita ko sila umalis ka na nga!!

"I'm just joking bunso, chill. I don't want you to be in a bad mood, araw mo to.

Maloi, Gwen and Stacey came at pinakilala ko rin sila. I'm glad at nagka sundo sila agad pero ang iingay pala ng mga to. Maloi, guided them to the table where they could get some snacks and drinks.

Time Skip!!

It's time to launch my new piece, I let Stacey do the honor kahit siya walang alam kung anong nasa loob ng puting tela.

I can see the shock on their faces when Stacey pulled down the white cloth covering the painting.
My masterpiece, Aiah!!

It is my first time with a portrait since I'm fond of abstract painting. I'm worried about their feedback sa gawa ko mas lalo na kung ano ang reaction ni Aiah.

"So Aiah you're the person behind all this pala ha. Naintindihan ka namin Mikha Lim!! Nagsalita na naman ang damuhong si Maloi.

Aiah is so quiet, I can only see her looking at the painting intensely. Mas lalo akong kinabahan dahil wala siyang imik. Nilapitan ko lang siya.

"Hey Aiah, do you like it?

"Uhmm, yes! Pero I can't believe that you'll put my face up there nakakahiya. When did you paint this pala?

"Your beauty is beyond compare Aiah. Dapat lang na andiyan ka. I did this after IAO, there were times that you're the only image inside my mind and boom nagawa ko na"

I can't believe it either, I had the courage to put a woman's image in my gallery it's like exposing my heart to others, my vulnerable side.
