John sat Maddie down. "Which beer needs to be brought up?"

She laughed and shrugged. None of them really. "Um, that one." She pointed to a case and John moved over to grab it, but she stopped him, reaching out and grabbing his arm. "John?"

He turned back to her. "Hmm?"

"One more kiss please? To hold me over until the end of the night?"

"Gladly," he muttered as he moved back over to her and kissed her again, his hands cupping her cheeks as he swept his tongue through her mouth.

Maddie melted into him. She wanted him so badly. She ran her hand over his abs and he shuddered. She loved his abs and how absolutely perfect they were. Her fingers brushed against the waistband of his jeans, and she heard him draw in a sharp breath. Her gaze darted up to him. "I want to see you naked."

"I want to see you naked too, Maddie," he murmured, bringing his hand up to her neck, and sliding it into her hairs.

"Tonight? After work?" she asked him.

He sucked in a harsh breath. "That's all I'm going to be thinking about between now and then."

"Me too," she whispered. "We should go."

"Before you turn me on even more?" He smiled at her, and gently brushed the hair out of her face.

"I'm turned on too," she said softly, her hands gliding over his abs and down to his V cut, tracing along it.

John dropped a kiss on her lips again. "I know." He turned and grabbed the case of beer, then followed her up the stairs and back into the noisy saloon. Back to reality and the annoying fact that she had to temporarily share him with a bunch of other women.

After that, everything was chaotic. The saloon was overly packed and everyone was working overtime to keep their customers happy. Drinks were flowing and the guys were dancing, and the money was flying. All the employees would be leaving that night with their pockets full.

Maddie would occasionally look for John, though she lost sight of him more than once in the dim lighting. But he always seemed to check in on her every so often and she felt the tingles erupt across her bare skin more than once throughout the night, sending a shiver up her spine. He seemed to enjoy caressing her bare back and she loved every time it happened. She'd glance up and meet his gaze, flash him a smile, then go back to whatever she was doing.

He'd smile back, his blue eyes full of promise, and his touch lingering. She just wanted to leave, to take him back to his room, strip off his clothes and pull him deep inside her. It was like they were playing a game. They were both so aware of each other, and they both wanted the same thing.

She was actually much calmer than she had been, knowing he was only interested in her. Her jealousy for the last few nights has burned hot like a green monster, fueling her rage at a bunch of women she didn't know. She hated watching them flirt with him and swoon all over him. She especially hated it when they touched him. There had been more than one time when she'd had to turn away before she'd walked over and punched another woman in the face for touching John. She'd never been jealous like this before. It was weird to her.

She still felt spurts of jealousy though, especially when she saw a bachelorette party convince him to let them do body shots on him. He'd come over and whispered in her ear, his lips brushing against her as he spoke and arousing her again. She really loved his voice. It made shivers run down her spine. His fingers brushed against her bare back and she bit back a moan. The man was good at seduction.

"I don't know what that is," he said quietly, his eyes on her. He was completely in her personal space, and she loved it. She loved having him so close, she could feel the heat from his body and smell his scent that she was coming to love. John smelled amazing.
