See You Again - Niall Horan

Chapter 59

I was currently watching as Niall finished getting ready. Once he buttoned his last button, he would walk onto stage with the other boys to announce their last tour. There was none of the normal joking and laughing that normally happen before they do something like this. It was a somber moment.

They were called out and sat behind the table that was set up with media members facing them. I took my seat near the back to watch. After they welcomed everyone, they moved on to why we were all there. I could see that it was getting to all of them that this was their final tour. Niall would look towards me periodically and I would try to give him a reassuring smile.

Once they had finished all the official stuff, they allowed the media to start asking questions. The first question was asked, "Why have you decided that now is the right time to break up?"

Harry was quick to answer, "We are not breaking up, we are just taking a few years off."

"We all have personal lives right now that we would like to be able to commit more of our time to," Louis added.

"We are at the point in our lives were I think we want to settle down and get married and start families," Liam said. "Or in the case of Niall, he would like to spend more time with his family."

"Yeah I'm looking forward to just be at home with my family. My wife has supported me through everything and been through a lot because of what I do. So now I'm looking forward to supporting her in the stuff she does." Niall looked in my direction.

"Do you plan to come back and make more music someday?" Someone asked.

"For sure, this is only for a few years. We all love this too much to give it up completely," Liam said.

"We'll all probably still right music in our free time and send it to each other," Louis added.

The next question was asked, "What is your biggest accomplishments since becoming a band?

They answered with things like the Olympics, having number one albums, or other things but then it was Niall's turn. He sat there and thought awhile before he finally said something. "My family."

"Really Niall, of all the things we've done you choose your family?" Louis joked.

"I mean everything we have done is amazing but I would give all of it up for my family. If I had to give up every number one song we've had for my family, I would. I am most proud that I have them by my side and that they can experience the things we do with me. They are what is going to stick with me when this is all over and people forget who we are. I look forward to the times when the biggest responsibility I have for the day is taking my kids to school and when the day comes when I'm know more for being my kid's dad rather than the Niall from One Direction. And I'm sure Erin will enjoy when I'm not gone for months at a time."

"Now that you will have more time do you think you will have more children?" The next reporter asked. I waited to hear how he would answer this since we didn't want to tell the world yet. I also watched the others reaction, hoping they wouldn't give anything away.

"I'm sure we will at some point."

"So you aren't trying for a baby right now?"

"No we aren't," he answered. Well I guess he wasn't lying because we weren't trying anymore.

There were a few more questions before the press conference was over. After the boys walked off the stage, I followed them. When I found them they were all standing around just looking at each other very quietly, not really knowing what to do.

Niall saw me approach and walked towards me. When he reached me he buried is face in my neck and held me tightly around my waist. I slide my hand up and down his back while he continued to not speak.
