Chapter 51

We drove up to our house and Niall parked his car in the garage and quickly jumped out, ready to run inside and see my little boy. I was turning the door knob to the house when Niall grabbed my wrist to stop me. “Niall what are you doing? Let me go inside.”

“You can’t.”

“Why not, is there something wrong with the house?”

“No everything is fine, it’s the first time we are going into our house as a married couple, I need to carry you across the threshold.”

“You really don’t have to carry me into the house. Nothing is going to change if you carry me or not.”

“Of course I do. I’m nothing but traditional, and I don’t want to jinx us.”

“Well hurry up, I want to see Riley.”

“He’s not here. Liam took him to the studio with him today. They’ll be back in a couple of hours.” Niall reached behind my legs and picked me up bridal style. I held him around his neck to help support my weight. “Now let’s get you inside Mrs. Horan.” I smiled at the name before I gave him a kiss and he walked us inside.

Niall kicked the door shut with his toe but stood there holding me. “You can set me now.”

“No, I’m good.” He walked us further into the house and laid me down on the couch. “I told you we had a couple of hours until Riley and Liam get here and I’m going to enjoy the last bit of honeymoon we have.” He laid down directly on top of me.

“Are you now?”

“Yeah I’m going to take a nap right here.” I glared at him. “Just kidding. You know what I want.”

“Yes but is it what I want?”

“I’m sure I can persuade you.” He had a shit ass grin on his face before he leaned down and began to kiss me.

When I heard Liam’s car finally pull into the driveway, I was in our room put away things from our luggage. I dropped the shirt I was hanging up in the closet and ran downstairs to meet them. Liam was unbuckling Riley from his car seat when I got outside. “Mummy!” He said excitedly when he saw me. “Miss mummy.” Liam placed him on the ground so he could come to me.

I crouched down to his height and hugged him. “I missed you too Riley,” I said as I gave him a kiss. “Did you have fun with Uncle Liam while mommy and daddy were gone?”

He nodded his head before he said “Love Uncle Liam.”

“I love you too Riley.” Liam ruffled Riley’s blond hair as he came closer to me.

“Thanks for watching him Liam. Was he good for you?”

“Yeah he was great. Didn’t cause too much trouble.”

I walked inside carrying Riley and Liam followed us. Niall came down the stairs when he heard us walk inside. “Daddy!” I let Riley down so he could go to Niall.

“Hey little man, I missed you so much, but I bet if we go to the living room we may find a present mummy and daddy brought you.” He became really excited at the word present so he quickly ran to find what we had bought him.

Liam stayed for a while letting us know what we missed and how Riley was while we were going. He told Niall what the plans for the band were and what they had done while we were gone.

The next couple of days Niall was working long hours at the studio trying to get caught up on what he missed while we were away. There were a couple of song they wanted him to do some vocals for, along with practicing for tour. They were all in the studio rehearsing for when we go to in North Dakota.
