See You Again - Niall Horan

Chapter 41

I’m sorry I haven’t been on a lot lately but I’ve been really busy with work and on vacation so to make up for it here is a new chapter. It’s kind of a big one so I hope you like it.

“Liam can I talk to you?” I asked one day when he was at our house. He and Niall had been working on a new song so he had been coming over quite often in the last week.

“Sure what is it?”

“I need to ask you something about Niall.” Niall had gone to store because he had finished the last beer.

“What about him?”

“He seems to be really distant from me lately and I don’t know why. He spends a lot of time in his music room, and when he isn’t in there he doesn’t really want to talk to me.” I fidgeted my hands in my lap. “I will ask him a question and he’ll answer it but with a really short reply. It’s like he doesn’t want to be around me.”

“How has he been with Riley?”

“Great. He is always with him. They both will be in the music room and I won’t see them for hours. Until they get hungry, then they come out. I just don’t know anymore.”

“I’m sure it’s fine.”

“I’m just afraid he realized he doesn’t want to be with me anymore. And decided that having a kid is too much along with touring and stuff and that he is going to leave us. Liam I can’t lose him again and I know it would break Riley if Niall wasn’t around anymore.” Tears were beginning to form in my eyes.

“I know for a fact that he is not going to leave you. He loves you and Riley.” He rubbed my shoulder. “He just has a lot going on right now and you know he isn’t good with his feelings. Just give him some time then everything will me better. I promise. Okay?” I nodded. “But if you would like, I will talk to him for you.”

“Thank you Liam.” I gave him a tight hug. I went to the kitchen to begin making supper while Liam play with Riley until Niall returned.

They went back to work on their song when Niall returned. They came down when I yelled to them supper was done. When Niall walked into the kitchen, he kissed my temple and whispered, “I love you more than anything.” I smiled back at him before placing the last of the food on the table.

“Niall what do you want for your birthday? It’s only a few weeks away and I don’t have any ideas for you yet.” I yelled from the bathroom one night while I was getting ready for bed. “And I start school next week so I would like to get it before then.”

“I don’t need anything. Just spending the day with you two is fine.” He replied while pulling his shirt over his head as he stood in the doorway.

“Come on Niall I’m serious. I need some good ideas.”

“I am serious. I don’t want you to get me anything. Just the day doing nothing except for that one thing.” He winked back at me

“Yes dear. You know I will give you that and we can do nothing but I want to get you something too.”

“I’m sure you will think of something.”

“Thanks for being so helpful.” I answered sarcastically.

That night when we were lying in bed before falling asleep I rolled over and asked Niall, “Are you okay with me going to school?”

“Yeah why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well it’s just you haven’t ever really say anything about it. And once I start school again life is going to be really different. I won’t be able to travel with you everywhere anymore. I’m going to be gone at school for a lot of the day and when I come home I’m going to need to study. So I’m going to need you to do more around the house like do more cleaning and cook some of the food.”
