See You Again - Niall Horan

Chapter 69

Today was the day, the day we were finally getting to go home. Finley was already two months old and he still hadn't sleep in his nursery but instead on tour buses or in hotels. We had been traveling all over America with Niall so now that he was done for a couple of weeks it was nice to sleep in our own house.

After Niall pulled his Range Rover into the garage, I unbuckled Riley from his booster seat while Niall grabbed Finley from his car seat. We walked inside and were met by the rest of One Direction. "What are you guys doing here? We just left airport, how did you beat us here?" I asked when I saw them.

"We're here to welcome Finley home. We wanted to be here the first time you get to see his nursery," Harry answered.

Liam followed him, "We made sure they got your bags off the plane last and with the kids we were pretty sure we could get out of the airport faster than you guys. And then Louis almost got a speeding ticket coming here."

"Hey I didn't get one and got us here in plenty of time so stop complaining Liam," Louis shot back. He wrapped his arm around Liam's neck and pulled him against his chest causing both of them to bust out laughing. "Now can we go see the nursery?"

"Why do you want to see it so bad? I don't think I ever remember you helping," I retorted.

"Never mind me, let's go see what Zayn did to Finley's room," Louis replied trying to change the subject.

All of us walked upstairs. Zayn went to a shelf on the wall and picked up a vase that was sitting on it and grabbed the key to the room from under it. "So that's where you've been hiding that key all this time." He smiled back at me before opening the door. Zayn and Harry covered mine and Niall's eyes before leading us into the room.

When their hands were removed, I opened my eyes to see the beautiful nursery. "Wow Zayn this is amazing. I love it." I continued to look around the room to see all the different details he put into it. On the dark gray walls Zayn had painted all sorts of animals. Elephants, giraffes, lions, and even monkeys in a tree.

"I decided to go with a zoo theme since your first date was at the zoo. So because of the zoo, I guess Finley was possible," Zayn explained.

"Aww Zayn this is great. Thank you." I hugged him. "Why don't we see if Finley likes his new room and see if he'll take a nap?" Niall took that as his cue to lay him down in his crib. He had been dozing off in Niall's arms since we arrived at home so I was pretty sure he would fall right to sleep. He snuggled right in to his comfy bed so we left him to sleep and went back downstairs and the boys us left us home alone.

For the past few weeks, the boys had been performing around Europe. I liked it because Niall would only be gone for maybe a day or two and then be home for a day or so. Finley and especially Riley like it too because they were able to spend more time with their dad. And also if my scheduled would work out we would go to the concert with them which Riley absolutely loved.

"Daddy's home!" I heard Riley yell from living room after he saw Niall's car pull up to the house. He ran past me in the kitchen to get to the door coming from the garage. I grabbed Finley from his swing and walked to welcome Niall when he walked through the door.

"Hi honey," I greeted as he walked into the house. "How was the show?"

"Daddy, daddy," Riley shouted.

"What Riley?" Niall picked him up.

"I show you the picture I drew."

"I'll be right there after I talk to your mum. Why don't you run and get it?" He set Riley down and he took off towards the living room. "Here let me take Finley from you," he offered. Niall sat down at the island across from me. I leaned against the other side so I was only a short distance away from him. "The show was great and how are you dear? Boys good while I was away?" He leaned in to give me a quick kiss.
