See You Again - Niall Horan

Chapter 6

When I walked in the front door, Katie was sitting on the chair that looked at the front door waiting for me to come home so she could ask how my date went.

“How was it, was it amazing, what did you do?” she asked so fast I could barely understand her.

“I was great, he took me to the zoo. We saw pretty much every animal. Then he arranged for us to feed some of the giraffes. On the way home we stop at an ice cream shop and then he drove me home. Before he left he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“Why won’t Kyle ever take me on dates like that? All he ever does is take me to dinner or a movie, never anything cool like that. Are you going out with again?”

“I’m not really sure, he didn’t say anything about it when he left,” I said puzzled. I hadn’t thought about that. “Do you want me to make you some supper?”

“No, I think I can survive by finding something quick to eat. I don’t want you to have to cook. Why don’t you go upstairs and get ready for bed? You didn’t sleep much last night”

“I suppose I will go to bed. I’m still tired from last night.” It was only eight but I only had five hours of sleep the night before and we did a lot of walking so I was quite tired. I went upstairs and cleaned off my makeup and put on my pajamas and crawled under the covers on my bed. I fell asleep right away.

The next morning I was woken up by Katie yelling up the stairs, “Erin, you have a package waiting for you. A deliver man just dropped it off.”

“What is it?” I asked as I threw the covers off.

“I don’t know. It’s in a brown box so I can’t see anything and it’s illegal to open other people’s mail without their consent unless you want me to open it for you.”

“Fine, I’m coming,” I said while I walked down the stairs. I strolled into the kitchen and there was a fairly large box sitting on the counter. There was a note on the top so I opened it first.

Erin,

I had a great time with you yesterday. I got you a little present. I can’t wait to see you on our next date. I will talk to you soon.

Niall

I excitedly opened the box and inside I found a stuffed baby otter, a picture frame, and a book. There was another note too.

I got you the otter because I know how much you love them. The picture is the one we took in front of the giraffes. And the book has some pictures I had my bodyguard take of us when he was following us and we weren’t paying attention to him. I like these pictures more than posed pictures. I hope you don’t mind but I think they are really cute. See you soon!

I looked though the pictures and there were some from all the different things we did. There were one when we were watching the monkeys, one where Niall was petting a goat, and also one of me laughing at Niall we the giraffe licked his ear because he wasn’t feeding it fast enough. I loved all the picture and thought it was cute that he did that.

I took the gifts up to my room and set the pictures up on my end table, and placed the otter on the bed. At that point, I decided that I should get dressed and start to work on the house since Katie and Kyle had left for work. I put on my painting clothes and went to finish the living room. I was done right around noon so I went and started to make some lunch. As I was cooking, I got a text message.

What are you doing tomorrow night?

Nothing that I can think of right now

Good, I will see you at 6. Wear something nice, we are going someplace fancy
