The sound of 'flats clanking against the hardened floor filled the dungeon, accompanied by the occasional drip of a runny pipe.

yin coddled himself anxiously, looking around. He wanted nothing to do with knife; But there wasn't much of a choice. He was a...last resort option, especially after everything that had occurred. The kingdom was in an uproar, and with candle weak and defenseless, yin was their only hope. It didnt help that he'd be crowned in about two days..

The sound of chains clanking against one another caused yin to lose his train of thought, glancing back at a certain cell. His cleared his throat..

"..What's with all that 'Ruckus up there?"
Knife spoke, glancing back at yin.

"..Knife..you...you need to tell me what you know about yang. And.. the war. What did he do to mothe-....Candle... what did he do to candle."

-"..Oh? Where's your respect for her now?"
The man snickered, as yin clenched the bars of his enclosure.
"That is not important, now enough avoiding my questions, answer
immediately!"

-"Why should i!?"
Knife snapped back, narrowing his eyes.

"...B...Because...I-if this war breaks out, if yang potentially rules, everyone gets hurt, including you! Nobody wins."

-"...it wouldn't matter anyways. I mean, look where you've locked me up?"
Knife chuckled, narrowing his eyes.

-"You USED me, Knife! You betrayed the kingdom, betrayed...me."

An eerie silence rose, as knife clenched his fist.
"..That was never my intention, Prince. I.. I never wanted you to figure it out, i.."
Knife stammered, sighing. He looked down at the cold floors, the chains bounding him to this cell.

"...If I tell you what I know.. you have to let me out."
-"No way."
..
"It's your only shot."

Yin stared at knife for a moment, grunting.
"..Fine."
Yin mumbled, glancing at a key hanging onto the rugged concrete walls. Slowly, he reached out for it, snatching it and opening the cell. He'd catiously approach knife, Releasing his restraints.

Knife rubbed his wrist, snickering.
-"Feels much better."

Yin suddenly slapped knife- catching the man off guard.

"What the fuck, Yin!? You..."
-"You feel no remorse for what youve done, knife! You've practically dammed us all, And you don't even think about the night we..–"

-"I do, yin! Bring stuck down here gave me lots' of time to fuckin' think." Knife admitted, grabbing yins wrist.

"You have every right to be upset with me, okay? I wasn't thinking straight, at all.. I was torn between working for yang and.. Pursuing something special with you! Do you know how hard that was..?"

Yin stared at knife for a moment, holding back tears.
"..No. I don't, and I never will- if you had actually wanted to pursue 'Something special ' than you would've, without a second thought. What, did yang offer you money? Safety?"

-"yes. Its everything I ever could've wanted.. i..thought it was, but no. I- it's you I want- I've changed, I promise!"

A moment of silence lingered between the two before knife continued..
"..The.. well.. A war... is scheduled to break out the day you are crowned. Yang.. I'm.. not sure if he'll participate. But the higher up's surely will. No matter what you do yin.. so many people will die. But if you play your cards right.. maybe you will win."
