One Day earlier...

BOOM! FLASH!

The sounds of an angered sky echoed over the crashing ocean waves. The storm darkened the sea, with no end in sight. Meanwhile, A boat fought its way through the furious ocean. Inside, Heidi sat in her seat, nervously as the ship tossed and turned. She stared out the window next to her, flinching now and then from the lightning. She turned to the captain and a few other workers who were steering the boat.

"How's it going, Captain?" Heidi asked. The captain didn't hear her, only focusing on the ocean. Heidi sighed, deciding to let him do his work. As she looked out once again, she heard a loud crash from below. Heidi looked down to see a hatch door open on the ship.

"Hey! That hatch is open! HEY!" Heidi yelled. However, he was too distracted to notice or hear her. Seeing this, Heidi growled before standing up from her seat. If he wasn't gonna listen, then she would have to do it herself. She put on a rain poncho and pulled the hood on as she stepped out of the cabin. She took a flashlight from the side, turning it on as she went out.

The ocean fought her every step, pushing the boat around wildly like a rag doll. Heidi fell onto the side, getting a grip on the edge. She grunted, holding onto it as she continued making her way to the hatch.

"Been a while since I had my sea legs." Heidi chuckled. She then got closer and finally, she grabbed the top of the hatch. However, before she could push it close, the silhouette of a person jumped out from it. Heidi shrieked, pointing the flashlight at the figure. A tall man in a black rain poncho stared back at her. A mask was over his face and the hood blocked his eyes.

"Hey! Who are you?!" Heidi snapped. She then looked down to see her backpack in his hand. She was surprised by this and tried grabbing it. However, he yanked it back and started to sprint away. Heidi gasped before yelling out at him.

"THIEF! STOP! That's mine!" Heidi yelled. Heidi immediately sprinted after him, reaching for her bag. The ocean fought their every step but Heidi didn't give up. Unfortunately, neither did the mystery man. They had made it to the back of the ship, near the edge when Heidi finally caught him. She grabbed her backpack strap, stopping him.

"GIVE IT BACK, CREEP!" Heidi shrieked. The two began a tug-of-war match for the bag then, neither willing to back down. Heidi was surprised at the man's strength but there was no way she could lose her bag to this guy. Especially with the files inside still. Thankfully, The sounds of other men yelling then came to their attention as the streams of flashlights came towards them. Heidi smirked, turning back to the thief.

"You're cornered! Now, let go!" Heidi snarled, tugging it hard. However, the tug of war between the two didn't stop. The thief was persistent but grew wary of the approaching workers. They came near the edge of the boat as reinforcements arrived. Realizing he was outnumbered, the Thief let go and kicked Heidi back in the stomach.

"OW!" Heidi shrieked, stumbling back. She hit the edge of the boat with a yelp as the man vanished from sight. The lights of the flashlights landed on her just as something huge was about to hit the ship. Heidi looked up just in time to see the water smack into her. Suddenly, Heidi was pulled from her feet with the wave. She let out a loud, ear-piercing shriek before falling into the cold, dark waters of the ocean.

Heidi opened her eyes, looking around only to see darkness and water. Bubbles floated around her as she quickly swam to the surface with her bag in hand. She broke through the waves, grabbing onto a life buoy that had fallen off with her. She coughed loudly before looking around. The crew was on the ship still, yelling wildly in panic as the light of the flashlights danced around the sky.

"HELP! SOMEBODY!" Heidi shrieked. Suddenly, another large wave came on top of Heidi then, pushing her down again. When she came up though, the boat was nowhere to be found. Heidi looked around but somehow, it vanished!
